On the Friday before Father's Day, Ca...nadians are encouraged to go plaid and help raise awareness and funds for the prostate cancer cause. Today, join us by sharing a photo of you, your co-workers or loved ones wearing plaid on social media with the hashtag, #PlaidforDad. For every post, a $5 donation (up to $20,000) will be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and our work to build a world where no one fears prostate cancer. With 1 in 9 Canadian men expected to hear the words, "you have prostate cancer", in their lifetime, our amalgamation with Prostate Cancer Canada earlier this year means we'll be able to accomplish even more for people affected by prostate cancer through initiatives like #PlaidforDad. Create your own luminary by printing out the template available in the participant toolkit and have a flashlight, cell phone, or LED candle ready to light it up and display in your home. Put on your team costumes or old Relay shirts, have your campsite ready with all your favourite snacks and drinks, and print and post the event schedule where everyone in your home can see it. Take pictures and share them on your social media don’t forget to use the hashtag #RelayAtHome!
