And for something a little naughty, an Italian original art from Gianni Pinaglia from the mid eighties. Taken from the Comics, Amiche Mie Story. From what I gather, this matron locks one of her wards down with furry gloves to prevent any...indiscretions. Guess it didn’t work.

An exquisite rendering of a mature Marlene Dietrich on a mock-up TV Guide cover. On the reverse is a name, Pamela Tingle. I’m assuming that this is the artist’s... name???? I don’t believe this cover was ever used as well. Such a shame. As a side note, Dietrich is spelled incorrectly. Still a beautiful piece. See more

Scored a neat acquisition that is relatively scarce. A 1989 picture disk album with liner notes and lyrics, by The Shakers. The LP is entitled Omaha The Cat ...Dancer. The group is essentially made up of the creative team of the comics, Reed Waller and Kate Worley. I haven’t played it yet, but I do love the erotic, anthropomorphic drawings that deals with sexuality and other issues of adulthood, in a genuine, honest, display of human interaction and spirit. The history of these two creators is very interesting. I won’t bore you with too many details. One misconception is that they were married. They weren’t. Another fascinating fact is that a US Comic store, Friendly Franks, was arrested for distribution of obscene material which included Omaha, and was essentially dragged through the court system. Frank was cleared of all charges. It was also the incarnation of the Legal Defense Fund to help pay for the court costs and defend Free Speech. On a sad note Kate Worley had passed away far too young from cancer. However, Omaha persevered with the help of her husband, Vance. He completed the writing chores with Reed still drawing the book. I saw this original art currently on ComicLink Auctions, and essentially wished I had an extra few grand to bid on this piece(sigh.)It’s a J Scott Campbell or...iginal, drawing Gen13. Grunge is having a very sexy dream sequence with Shi, Lady Death, and Francine and Katchoo of Strangers In Paradise fame! Nineties good girl art at the peak of perfection. See more

Today I wore my new vintage hat delivered all the way from Budapest Hungary! It’s 1960’s, produced in London, with a houndstooth pattern! A friend mentioned that it look like something Robert Crumb would wear. Subconsciously emulating someone I admire.

Visiting Jim Johnston at Golden Age Collectables, wearing my new Pride Tee to celebrate Pride month. Jim was also nice enough to give me a small men’s hair pr...oduct advertisement, distributed in the 1950’s, that prominently display Fearless Fosdick! An Al Capp creation parodying Dick Tracy! Over a decade ago, Jim traded me a standup version of this item for a coffee, and a Black Gi Jane figure. How time flies... See more

I finally pulled an #EttaCandy Heroclix figure! She is one of the Holiday Girls and plucky sidekick in Wonder Woman Comics for decades. I suppose I can relate and admire her more then #WonderWoman herself. #dccomics #SensationComics
