Love that morning cup of coffee Here is one method to stain removal if you happen to spill your coffee in your morning dash! blot the area as quickly as possible with paper towels or a clean cloth. do not rub, rubbing will cause the oils to be absorbed deeper into the carpet. flush the area with 1 cup of cool water, using paper towels or a clean cloth and continue blotting.... mix 2 cups of lukewarm water with 1/4 cup of lemon juice, add a bit of liquid dishwashing detergent. apply mixture to a clean sponge, do not over soak the sponge. begin at the outside of the stain and gently rub in a circular motion, working your way to the inside of the stain. rinse the area with clean, cold water. using a new clean dry towel, remove any excess moisture by stepping or firmly pressing. repeat the process until the stain is no longer visible. . RED WINE STAINS...the sooner you act, the better. with a white cloth, try & blot as much of the red wine stain as you can. The more you can soak up, the less you’ll have to remove. after you finish blotting, pour a bit of cold water directly into the wine stain, this will help dilute what remains of the stain. continue blotting until you find that no more of the stain will come out.... Method 1 - Baking soda prepare a baking soda paste by mixing a three to one ratio of water to baking soda. apply the paste to affected area, once the paste is dry, vacuum the stain. Method 2 - Vinegar use two cups of warm water, mix one tablespoon of white vinegar & one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. use a sponge and apply the solution directly into the wine stain. continue blotting until the stain has lifted. Caution: always do a spot removal test on a portion of the carpet that is normally not visible.
