Mental health impacts everyone in our community. Today we are excited to share Linda Hoang’s story. Linda Hoang is a seasoned social media strategist who helps companies use social media to grow their business and reach their audiences and is also a popular food, lifestyle, and travel blogger. "Pre-pandemic, a significant portion of my personal life and work revolved around social gatherings, events and travel so I’ve turned to virtual hangouts and physically-distanced walks ...outside as the best mental health boosts to combat the feelings of isolation brought on by the pandemic. As someone who spends so much time online, I also have to be mindful of doomscrolling (getting lost in scrolling through repeated bad news on social media) and intentional of when to log off my screen time for the day. Also don’t underestimate the positive effect of JOY scrolling! My favourite joy scrolling platform is TikTok. Wholesome, hilarious content. Everyone has bad days. Everyone struggles with something. No one is above this, no matter who you are or what you do. Don’t feel guilty if you need to take a breakit’s important. Don’t feel like a failure if you have to say no, if you don’t have the capacity to take on certain work, or if you’re currently out of work. It’s healthy to acknowledge what you may be struggling with today. The visible and invisible effects of a global pandemic are unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Let someone know what’s on your mind. Finding an outlet to share your feelings or what you may need help processing is so helpful, whether it’s written in a personal diary or as a public blog post, through a private text or a video call, or in a conversation with a loved one or your therapist. Don’t feel ashamed to admit if you’re struggling and don’t be afraid to accept helpwhatever form that help takes." Lindork - Linda Hoang

#SelfInjuryAwarenessDay is an annual global awareness campaign where on this day many share their own stories about their own self-harm to fight the stigma and organizations make special efforts to raise awareness about self-harm and self-injury. We created this poster in hopes to shed a little more on this topic.

#Laidecommenceici
