Logging company has started bulldozing road open to 10-K. They are supposed to keep left side of Groomed trail in tact so sledders can still get to 10-K while they are working on roadway. We will let you know when they get to 10-K parking lot (will probably be a few days yet)... at which point you'll be unloading at 10K for rest of the season.

Logging company is moving into our area.. starting TOMORROW (Wed 17th). We knew this was in the works, but only got one day notice about their actual starting date. For the next several days, they are going to bulldoze the road open from 0-K to way past 10-K. They will open our 10-K parking lot when they get that far. In the meantime, you should be able to sled on the "ditch side" of the road until 10-K parking lot is done. We've asked them to leave a good portion of the groomed trail untouched for now. We will update you as they progress.

Groomer operator brought up Firewood to Henning Cabin deck. We are asking sledders to bring inside and stack under benches, please and thank-you.

We have one more AST-1 Avalanche Safety course coming up for Feb 20-21 (Sat-Sun). Saturday classroom portion will be on ZOOM, so you can do that at home. Sunday will be full day in the Snow learning how to use your beacons properly, rescue techniques, analyzing snow packs, and looking at Terrain to avoid avalanche risk in the first place. Call GM Gerald to sign-up 604-316-1600.

COLD TEMPS this week. Dress extra warm, AND, plan to get back well before dark. Some snow-bikers were out late today, then had problem with one bike, had to double out = slow going, then batteries died on their helmet lights = bit of panic. With help of couple club members, they are back down safe... cold and tired.

Anyone from Surrey area, near King George Skytrain, heading towards Chwk this week, or sled'n this week-end. We need a Tablet picked up and brought to Chwk or Collection Hut.

Logging company is DONE. They moved the last piece of equipment out yesterday, so the road to 10-K will become a GROOMED trail this week-end. All sledders to park in our main parking lot now, and no more Vehicles or ATV's allowed down Tulameen FSR anymore.

Here's one of our Groomers going down Spearing Bowl today. We had 2 Groomers out, doing most the secondary trails. Deep snow conditions with a soft base, so if you prefer to do some trail riding, tomorrow (Sunday) should be a good day for that.

I'm sure some of you are wondering about the current travel restrictions. Seems media is twisting things... AGAIN. This clip is straight from gov.bca.ca website. It's basically saying, if you want to go Sled'n, go to your LOCAL snowmobile club. For most of you following us on FB, that means it' OK to go to Britton Creek (CoqSnow). Gov't doesn't want to see Fraser Valley people travelling/staying at Revy or Sicamous at this time. Actually sounds reasonable.

Groomers were out last night... first time this season,. Our main trails up are Groomed - not awesome because of early snow conditions, but MUCH better than it was last weekend. 10-K riders will need to drive to 10-K parking lot as the road is still being plowed by logging for another 4-5 days. Your essential travel requirement is... checking out the area for any problems and looking for those mining wires.

CoqSnow (Coquihalla Summit Snowmobile Club) 05.10.2020

they haven't finish logging yet... the warm weather slowed them down. We will clear 10-K parking lot tonight for 10-K sledders to use this weekend. They do not log on Sat & Sun, so shouldn't be any logging trucks to worry about.

Thank-you to Adam Fairfax and Eddie Furness for welding crack on Groomer frame, and painting our 2nd outhouse in parking lot. Plan on painting original one Blue as well.

Anyone have a used truck box they are willing to donate for our club truck. It would be a bonus for our volunteers who take up tools or chainsaws, etc on project days. Doesn't have to be pretty or lockable.

CoqSnow (Coquihalla Summit Snowmobile Club) 21.08.2020

Mitch Coers from Over-the-Edge Excavating was up brushing lower parts of 10-K trail-up and Henning trail-up. Alders don't look that bad in summer, but early winter, they all fall into trail with weight of snow, which makes trail narrow early season and alders are not good for our Groomer tracks/tillers. Expect trails to be wider early season now. Check Over-the-Edge on Facebook, this guy has a pretty cool machine that can deal with some pretty wild terrain, so no problems handling brushing on our trails. Over the Edge Excavating Ltd.

Our GOLD sponsor Triwest Contracting is working on main parking lot. Have a grader levelling and sloping the parking lot to eliminate the "ugly" spots in the winter/spring. Once everything is levelled and sloped, they will roll entire lot to push down all the ugly rocks. Membership $ and Trail fees isn't just for grooming... it's for important projects like this. If you are quadding this week-end, please park your rigs on the pipeline and leave parking lot open so they can finish things off nicely.

CoqSnow (Coquihalla Summit Snowmobile Club) 17.04.2020

Anyone available to run a 225 Excavator in next few days ? We are working on our parking lot to improve things for up-coming season. Any sledders available to help out ? Call Pete Brodie @ 778-779-5226
