When you decide to install stone on the outside of your home there are a few things to consider before going into the store. THE FIRST THING THAT YOU SHOULD THINK OF IS WHAT IS YOUR COLOUR SCHEME? Are you looking for Greys? Neutral? Natural? Picking these will really help with narrowing down your choices. When thinking about your colour scheme, you should take into consideration the other colours on your facade, things like your windows, doors, roof colours should all be tak...en into consideration when deciding. You want everything to match and blend properly so choosing ones that work well together is very important. Having the other facades colours pre-picked out is usually nice but not necessary, however, the stone is usually easier to pick out once you have that all chosen. THE NEXT THING IS TEXTURES Are you going with a modern, country, contemporary, or traditional textured look? This will yet again help with narrowing down the options so you get exactly what you’re looking for. FINALLY you should have a good idea what your budget will be, remember all our suppliers have a very similar warranty and guarantees, what changes from supplier to supplier is the style of stones and colours.

These pre-cut stone panels and stone mats can be applied to walls or floors in the same way that tile is applied. This makes for fast installation, lower labour costs and reduced waste.

Many people don't realize the benefits of heating with a pellet stove over traditional heating methods. For one, they produce significantly fewer carbon emissions than other fuel types which greatly reduces your carbon footprint. In addition to this, the newer stoves are becoming much more efficient with some stoves hitting a 95% efficiency rate, which is far better than other burning alternatives. Finally, because the pellets remain at a steady price you will never be surprised with an unexpected bill, unlike other fuel types, which prices can have big fluctuations. This allows you to properly plan out your expenses over the winter. Cubex is the "Cadillac line" of stove pellets and is 100% Hardwood that burns hot and minimizes the mess.

Brick and stone are excellent building materials that require very little maintenance, never need new paint, caulking or staining and are available in a wide range of sizes, textures and non-fade colours. Homes made of brick and stone are highly energy-efficient and therefore remain cool in the summertime and warm in the wintertime. They have a better sound performance because they are able to block the sound from outside and can withstand higher winds than their wood or vinyl counterparts. Since homes made of brick and stone are strong, energy-efficient, and fire-resistant, they also maintain a higher resale value than other claddings.

Installing a new countertop in your kitchen and can't decide between Quartz and Granite? There are a few pros and cons of each and should be taken into consideration for your specific kitchen! However, as its mostly man-made, it can be easily customized to match your colour schemes. ... Granite comes in all kinds of styles and colours depending on where it was taken from. You can easily match it to your chosen colour scheme. However, as its a natural product, it may take time to find the right colour for your home. There is nothing better than hanging out on a cool evening with your friends and family around a gorgeous fire. When you build one from stone it can also double as a beautiful focal point in your yard. When you start to build these there are a couple of things to keep in mind. 1) Always remember to call before you dig, you don't want to accidentally hit an underground wire or pipe.... 2) Figure out how far from the house your pit will be. There is typically a code set out by your municipality about how far your fire needs to be from structures. Look into this before you begin building your pit. 3) Decide on your stone style, there are so many options to choose from, and will usually be able to match your home. Go into your local supplier and talk to the professionals they will give you guidance on what to choose from. 4) Always dig down at least 3-4 inches and pack the earth well. This will give you a good base that will hold your stones in place for years to come.
