Yay!!!! After clarification from the TBDHU I have confirmation that I am able to stay open for all grooming services!! Those clients initially affected will be contacted to reschedule, and all other remaining appointments will stay as planned! That being said, I will adapt to the changing situation as the numbers dictate, but for now it's BUSINESS AS USUAL!

With this lockdown, I am closed fully until the grey zone is lifted. Booked clients will be contacted shortly. Stay safe everyone.

As with many businesses in this strange time, I am having to make a couple of changes at Country Clippers... and the first is not by choice.... I must now start collecting HST, and have chosen to do a price adjustment so the numbers stay easy on your end. So, please note that a price increase will take affect immediately to cover for the collection of HST as well as increased operating costs. Also, as of Feb 16 (when we return to Red category as deemed by the TBDHU) appoint...ments are being spaced apart to maintain minimal to no contact between clients. If you arrive and another client is here, please stay in your vehicle until you are waved forward. You may start to see a slight increase in wait times as appointments have to slow down for this spacing between clients. Please call at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead of your desired grooming time. All drop offs will occur outside the shop and clients are not permitted to enter the shop. We will all get through these trying times together and I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. With the announcement of the small extention to Feb 16, all those affected will be contacted in the next day or so to rebook. Nail trims and essential grooming is still determined on a case by case basis.

Under the guidance of the TBDHU and with safety in the highest regard, I am pleased to share that I am able to provide very limited grooming services to pets in need of urgent care. If you think your pet may meet the requirements, please call the shop number directly to discuss your case at 620-3722. Basically, if you look at your pet and think that maybe the vet would agree that they are in need, then give me a call. All other grooming (bath and fluff, cosmetic, etc) will resume once the Provincial shutdown is over.... hoping for mid February!! Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Hello folks!! Word just came out that our shutdown has been extended for another two weeks! Anyone with appointments will be contacted to reschedule (tentatively) for after we can reopen. Well... today is the last day for the shop before the holiday. Laura and I want to thank everyone for your continued support and love during this challenging time! We appreciate your patience when we had to rebook, run late, catch up, and keep working, to get everyone done! We loved seeing all of you and your pets and had fun spreading a bit of Christmas cheer! With the new lockdown level in place effective Boxing Day, I will be closed until Jan 11 and in the event of continu...ed lockdown, I will be required to remain closed. I am disappointed, to say the least, but there will be some advocating work needed to get open again during this pandemic. I will keep you all posted. A peaceful start to the last crazy Friday before Christmas! We are almost through the rush and will be open until Dec 23rd. What an AMAZING month!!!! THANK YOU for your support!!!!! We did it!!! With a final push on the last day and 5 more nail trims this afternoon... we not only made it to our goal... we BLEW RIGHT PAST IT!!!... I want to first send out a massive Thank you for the support of an amazing local company in Thunder Bay that we call friends, Digital Engineering Inc! When the walk in event was cancelled for public health safety, they stepped up and matched the funds that had been raised so far by donating $400 to the cause!!! Thank you so much for your support DE!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!! I am beyond excited to present Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association with $1000 to help support these amazing horses and this fantastic organization!!! Thank you, everyone, for your support! Fundraiser update!!!!! We are HALF WAY THERE!!!! Thank you to everyone for your support and donations!! At this time, the walk in event at Greenhawk (on Strand Ave) is still going ahead, but we will watch the TBDHU updates as they happen. Well folks, in the interest of public safety and with the update today from the Health Unit, we have spoken with Greenhawk Thunder Bay and jointly decided to postpone the nail trim event until a later date when it's safe to do so. If you would still like to have a nail trim done in support of Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association, please call the shop to make an appointment before the end of November. So far we have raised just over $425 in support of the amazing horses... that provide such amazing services to our community. Thank you to everyone that has pitched in!! Stay safe everyone!!

They continue to pay for horse feed, vet bills and other expenses while dealing with the devastating pandemic. They are reaching out to their supporters to help keep the horses needs met, so that these gentle giants can provide care for their riders next season. Hi Folks! This is a bit of a sad share, but I want to provide the best service possible to my clients, so you need to know... The shop is on part time hours right now as I (and my family) grieve the sudden loss of one of our beloved horses. I am trying my best to answer messages and respond to calls and texts, but I’m not gonna lie, this has been tough. I appreciate your patience while I work through a backlog of calls and messages, as well as rebooking appointments that hav...e had to shift since the accident.
