Enjoyed all the visitors we received today for the Convention and looking forward to a great weekend with our Holstein Enthusiasts. Holstein Canada Thank you Dann Brady for capturing this shot of one of our favourites in the barn. Larch Grove Camero Lexi. She's just fresh for her 3rd lactation. Thinking of flushing her. Any thoughts on bulls? https://www.holstein.ca/en/AIS/Lactations

Concerned about organic...GMO, etc. If you eat food, I highly recommend listening to this podcast.

While we finish our Nutrient Management Plan for 2019, SUSTAINABILITY comes to the forefront of my mind. It reminded me of an interesting Podcast I heard on Fresh Air Farmer - Andrew Campbell regarding what Sustainability actually means to each of us as often it means something different to the consumer vs producer. For us, sustainability means ensuring the health of our land and herd as they are the heart of our business. Continually seeking new methods and practices to feed future generations, as we will continue to have to feed a greater population with less. While growing a business for the next generation. What does agriculture sustainability mean to you?

Very interesting and pertinent article for our area and beyond considering the 2018 growing season. I know it is on our radar. #happycows #farm365 . . https://hoards.com/article-24907-mycotoxins-arent-greatest-

A goal of ours is to have healthy, productive, happy cows. Today, we were excited to received 3 Super-3 awards for 3 consecutive superior lactations. Highlight for Aleah was that her favourite, Hotstuff was among them. TODAY, is also 4 years since we moved into our new barn. The journey has not always been easy but we are grateful for what we have learned and where we are. Proud that we accepted the task humbly and with open eyes. Willing to learn and listen. Finally, thankful that we get to do it together as a family.
