We are proud to announce that Iris Johnson, a volunteer with our Thunder Bay chapter has been awarded Ontario’s Grassroots Volunteer Award. This award acknowled...ges an individual who has made an indispensable and sustained contribution to a chapter at the grassroots level. This award is intended for someone who can always be counted on to get the job done and that is exactly how the members of the Thunder Bay chapter have described Iris. Iris has been a conscientious and knowledgeable treasurer for the chapter for the past 12 years. On top of this position, she is also the Bingo Chair working with the City of Thunder Bay on all reporting and coordinating all volunteers who work at quarterly Bingos. Iris’ entire family including her husband and daughter also volunteer in the chapter and she has encouraged many others to join the chapter. Iris leads by example and has the complete trust and confidence of the chapter for the key role that she plays. Congratulations to Iris and thank you for all that you do to bring us closer to a world without CF.
