Read more about our new teacher Jesus Corrales here: Graduate of the National Ballet School of Cuba in 1987. Jesus joined the National Ballet of Cuba under the direction of Alicia Alonso. In 1992 Ann Marie D'angelo invited Corrales as a principal dancer with the Ballet de Monterrey, where he is was also her partner. The same year he joined the Compania Nacional de Danza, in Mexico, as a principal dancer, under the direction of Fernando Alonso. In 1998, Jesus joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet under the direction of Andres Lewis when he was appointed principal dancer and was a frequent partner of Prima Ballerina Evelyn Hart. In 2004 he joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal as first soloist. During his career, Corrales danced with Alicia Alonso, Josefina Mendez, Anne Marie D'angelo, Ofelia Gonzales, Amparo Brito, Evelyn Hart and Anik Bissonnette in classical and contemporary roles. Numerous awards and international recognition punctuated the brilliant career of Jesus Corrales. The gold medal and the Vaslav Nijinsky award for best dancer were granted to him during the International Ballet Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1988 and the bronze medal of the IV International Competition in New York, in 1993. The following year, he won the gold medal at the National Competition in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 1995, Jesus Corrales won a Gemini Award for "Best Performance" for his role in "Tale of the Magic Flute. As a teacher, he has taught for ballet companies and schools such as LaLaLa Human Steps, Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Montreal ballet professionnel and Ecole Superieure de Ballet du Quebec. Were honoured and excited to have the incredible Jessica Lin teach our Advanced/Pro Ballet class every second Sunday at 2 pm followed by Pointe class! You also have the option to follow the Barre/Center Live though Zoom Registrations will open tonight!! Limited spots!! Jessica Lin's ballet training has included the Acton School of Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ellison Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, and the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. She was taken under the tutelage of severa...l notable teachers, including Kathryn Anderson, Edward Ellison, and Denise Schultze. At Ellison Ballet, she competed at the Youth America Grand Prix in the Ensemble Division (placing top 12). She spent several years at the University Ballet of Chicago dancing and helping to stage productions. Her past repertoire has included Don Quixote (Kitri), The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora, Fairy of Temperament), Swan Lake (Princess), Coppelia (Swanhilda), La Bayadere (Pas de Quatre, Third Shade), Cinderella (Summer Fairy, Princess), The Nutcracker (Snow Queen, Dew Drop Fairy) and various roles in contemporary works by George Balanchine, Lorraine Chapman, France Dufresne, Edward Ellison, and Chip Morris. @jessc.lin Photo: Kat Stiennon

Introducing our Summer Intensive Master Teachers Born in Colombia, Liliana Pérez graduated from Incolballet with a bachelors degree in Arts. After studying methodology with Clara Carranco (Ballet National de Cuba), she lands a teaching position at Incolballet and joins Ballet de Cali as a solist, under the care of Alicia Alonso and Gloria Castro. After having worked in France, Cuba and in the United States of America, she enrolled in many international competitions and won the silver medal at Trujillos competition in Peru. Once in Canada, she danced with the Alberta Ballet and joined Ballet Coppelia in 2010. Ilia Khodos

Introducing our Summer Intensive Master Teachers Mi Deng is the artistic director of Mi Ballet School and a registered teacher of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She is a well-known worldwide guest ballerina and principal dancer, having danced with many famous ballet companies, such as: Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, La La La Human Steps, The Tulsa Ballet, The National Ballet of China and The Ballet company of Yokohama.... At an early age, Mi won the prize of the International Ballet Competition of Shanghai. She later graduated from The Beijing Dance Academy, and had an outstanding and successful international dance career. She has worked with worldwide stars such as Diana Vishneva, Bernice Copietters, Aurelie Dupont, Marijn Redmaker, Denis Savin, among many others. She has also worked with very acknowledged and talented choreographers such as Jean-Christophe Maillot, Jiri Kylian, Hans Van Manen, Roland Petit, Edouard Lock, Edward Clug, Andre Prokovsky, Christopher Wheeldon, Natalia Makarova and others. Mi has performed many main roles in full length classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Cinderella among others. She has also performed different neo-classical and modern pieces such as Lac, Serenade, Faust, Chore, Le Songe, Theme and Variations, The Four Temperaments, The Concert, Carmen, The Black Tuesday, Altro Canto etc. Mi has a great passion for teaching and uses her dancing experience to develop the ultimate ability of each and every one of her students, so they can build the most delightful dance career in future. Introducing our Summer Intensive Master Teachers -Ü Sandra Castro-Mühlbauer is a principal dancer, international guest artist and choreographer.... The Austrian ballerina received her ballet education at the Conservatory in Vienna under the direction of International Ballet Star Karl Musil and Prima Ballerina Evelyn Teri. Sandra won many prizes at international ballet competitions such as the Nureyev Competition, the Serge Lifar Competition, Prix de Lausanne, Fouette Artek and many more. She worked together with very acknowledged artists and choreographers such as Edouard Lock, Vladimir Malakhov, Patricia Neary, Diana Vishneva, Rafael Avnikjan, Renato Zanella and Evelyn Teri. Sandra has danced for well-known companies such as Lalala Human Steps, the Vienna State Opera Ballet, the Slovak National Theatre, the world-famous Lido in Paris and many more. Her favorite roles include Odette and Odile in Swan Lake, Gamzatti in La Bayadère, Myrta in Giselle and Aegina in Spartacus. In 2017 Sandra opened the Ballet School @tutudeluxe together with her husband in Montreal, and since then she travels internationally as guest teacher and adjudicator at ballet competitions. Then Diego moved to the United States and studied at different ballet schools such as the school of ABT, Joffrey Ballet School, Nutmeg Conservatory and SAB. He worked together with extremely acknowledged artists such as Mikhail Baryshnikov, Elena Tschernischova and Eleanor dAntuono. Diego h...as danced for internationally well-known companies like Les Grand Ballet Canadiens, Lalala Humansteps, the Joffrey Ballet, Miami City Ballet and many more. Diegos favorite roles include the cavalier in The Nutcracker, the Prince in Swan Lake and the Slave in Le Corsaire.
