I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all the cleaning staff of DCI Cleaning and for that matter everywhere. Cleaners work days, nights and weekends to keep working environments clean, safe and hygienic, often under the radar of normal working hours. For many of them, its a second job. Its a way for them to support their families. Families who dont see them as much as they would like because they are working. They are often out of sight but they should neve...r be out of our minds. We want to thank you all for rolling up your sleeves (especially during these very difficult and challenging times), working hard, even when some of us turn up our noses. They disinfect germy desks, doorknobs and bathrooms every day. They are one of the keys in helping to make our environment healthier. They give us comfort and are the key to our good image. CARING FOR YOUR MICROFIBER CLOTHS Microfiber is one of the very best cleaning tools youll ever come across. They are economical and environmentally-friendly and although they do not bio-degrade, they can be re-used hundreds of times if cared for properly. There are two very important things to remember about caring for microfiber: 1) Keep them away from heat, this means dont dry them in your dryer under high heat.... 2) Dont use fabric softeners or detergents with fabric softeners. To ensure the long life of your microfiber follow these guidelines: 1) Separate cloths from other laundry items 2) Add a small amount of laundry detergent, ideally a liquid detergent to the laundry 3) Launder with cold water 4) Tumble dry on low or hang to dry.

GLASS COOKTOP CLEANER - Tried & Tested Ingredients Hydrogen Peroxide Baking Soda... Rag or Sponge Instructions In a small bowl mix baking soda with enough hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Work paste around in a circle, concentrating on soiled areas. Baking soda absorbs grease and hydrogen peroxide will help to lift the residue. Gather up your baking soda in a pile and dispose. Wet a cloth with water to remove any remaining baking soda. Buff with a dry rag. We also tried using this recipe to clean our stainless steel sink and tea pot and it left them sparkling.

LAMINATE FLOOR CLEANER - Tried & Tested Ingredients 1 cup water 1 cup vinegar... 1 cup alcohol 2-3 drops dish soap (Castile, Dawn, etc.) Fine-mist spray bottle - 24oz Instructions Add all ingredients to spray bottle and shake to combine. Sweep/vacuum the floor. Spray cleaner on the floor. Wipe up with a microfiber cloth. **Note: Be sure to do a spot test to be sure it will work on your floors.

DRYER SHEETS TO CLEAN SOAP SCUM **Soap scum AND water spots! They are tough to remove and one of the most frustrating parts of cleaning any bathroom. **Sprinkle a few drops of water onto a used fabric-softener sheet and scrub.... Were not sure exactly what it is in a dryer sheet that helps get rid of these two annoyances, but it really works!

KEEP YOUR PUMPKINS FROM MOLDING **Toss a few silica packages inside your pumpkin to keep them looking fresh. **Make sure to keep them away from the candle so you dont end up starting a fire.

CLEAN SMELLY TOWELS! -Over time towels build up with detergent and softner and are unable to absorb much water. They also smell. -Add one cup of vinegar to the load and run through an entire wash cycle.... -Leave towels in the washer and refill again with HOT water, this time adding 1/2 cup of baking soda. Run through another entire cycle. -Now dry towels THOROUGHLY in the dryer or outside on the clothesline. -This strips the residue & leaves them fresh allowing them to absorb more water again. DID YOU KNOWWhite vinegar is a GREAT natural fabric softener. It prevents further build-up, eliminates static, and makes towels softer.

FANTASTIC CLEANER!! You have to try this to believe it -Mix a solution of one part original blue Dawn dish soap and one part vinegar, spray it on your tub. -About an hour later, take a rag and wipe the grime away.... This is brillant and we think youll love it as much as we do!

SILICA GEL PACKETS - There are so many random uses for these! Here are some of our favourites..... 1) Keep silica gel packets in your camera case to prevent moisture-related problems. And if youre headed to the beach, pack a plastic zip-top bag with a silica gel pack inside, and use it to stash and seal up cell phones and cameras. 2) Keep Luggage Dry - These tiny packets can do a great job of keeping luggage dry. Just toss a few silica gel packets into your luggage to keep i...t moisture and odor-free. This could really help to extend the life of your luggage. 3) Protect Silver - Moisture can lead to tarnish and corrosion on silver and jewelry. Slip a silica gel packet in your silver chest or jewelry box to keep those items tarnish free and looking great! 4) Halloween - They will prolong the life of your Jack O Lanterns and prevent them from turning moldy. 5) Protect your photos, VHS tapes, important papers - Place silica gel packets inside your storage container or tape an envelope of packets behind photos inside your picture frame.

CLEAN BLINDS WITH AN OLD SOCK Mix equal parts vinegar and warm water in a bowl. Slip an old odd sock on your hand and wipe all the grimy dirt away. Rinse it in some clean water and repeat the cleaning process.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR TOASTER? CREAM of TARTAR Clean and shine your stainless steel by mixing 1 tbsp of Cream of Tartar with a few drops of water. Rub the milk like solution onto the appliance and scrub with a sponge and wipe clean with a damp paper towel. ... OR YOU CAN TRY THIS METHOD BAKING SODA & HYDROGEN PEROXIDE Mix some baking soda in a small bowl with enough hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Use a scrubby sponge or paper towel and the gunk comes off surprisingly easily! I recommend wearing rubber gloves, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Remove Scratches from Leather Furniture: Use a soft cloth to rub the olive oil into the leather in circles--the key is really rubbing it in. Follow up with a paper towel and buff a bit. If you are worried about oil residue on the leather, the paper towel buffing really takes care of that, ensuring there is no oil left on surface of leather.

Removing Salt Stains from Tile or Porcelain Floors with Vinegar When your porcelain or tile floors become stained from salt during the winter months vinegar can effectively clean them without harsh fumes. Sweep the area with a broom, and collect the salt particles and other debris in a dust bin. ... Mix 1 gallon of water and 1 cup of white vinegar in a bucket. Dip the mop into the bucket, and wring out the excess liquid. Mop the floor until the salt stains are lifted, applying pressure as needed. Continue to dip the mop, and wring it out as you clean the entire floor. Rinse the mop clean of the water-vinegar solution. Empty the bucket, and replace the contents with water. Dip the mop into the water, wring out the excess, and wash the floor to remove any vinegar residue. Among natural cleaners, vinegar is the clear champ! Vinegar is a natural, non-toxic product that safely deodorizes, disinfects and cleans most hard surfaces.
