With public events not possible due to the pandemic and restrictions on large gatherings currently in place, this year's Remembrance Day ceremonies in Oakville are going virtual to honour and remember Canada's veterans. Some fruits are better for your oral health than others. Crunchy fruits like apples and pears help to stimulate saliva production, that can rinse your mouth and can wash away bacteria. Try mixing cut up apples, pears and nuts, you can even add this to a bed of greens! This salad will fill you up and it is good for your oral and overall health! #DentalWorksOnCornwall #healthysalads #healthyrecipes #oralhealth #oakvilledentist

We have been hearing this everywhere. Reduce the spread of illness and wash your hands! Did you know there is a proper way to wash your hands? The process should take between 40-60 seconds.... Wet your hands with water. Apply enough soap to cover both your hand surfaces. Rub your palms together, ensuring that lather builds up. Interlace your fingers with palm to palm. Ensure you are cleaning your nails and rotational rubbing of both thumbs. Rinse your hands thoroughly with water. Use a single-use towel to dry your hands and use that towel to turn off the tap.

Have a dental emergency? Call us. Broken teeth can almost always be saved. If it’s a small break, we may use a white filling to fix the tooth. If the break is serious, a root canal may be needed. Your tooth may also need a crown. Call our office and explain what happened. We will see you promptly. #DentalEmergency #DentalEmergencyOakville #DentalWorksOnCornwall #OakvilleDentist #DentalCrown

February is Heart & Stroke awareness month. Gum disease is associated with an increased risk of developing heart disease. Poor dental health increases the risk of a bacterial infection in the blood stream, which can affect the heart valves. If you are suffering from gum disease please make an appointment, it just may affect more than your oral health.
