Here is a garden bed we re-worked this spring. We removed a spindly 'Globe Cedar,' and planted graceful Japanese Forest Grass and Astilbe 'Delft Lace.' In flower, Astilbe smells like cotton candy (with no calories).

A garden is always in transition. On the left, is a garden bed we reworked on Victoria Day. On the right, is the same bed on Canada Day (5 weeks later). Quite a bit more filled in. That said, plants need room to grow.
