Congrats to all the cast and crew of Schitt’s Creek and Thank you for all the seasons of joy, laughter and warmth you brought to all of us.
Meet Dolly, our cute pet of the day!!!
It’s with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Brian Danks. An institution here at Dewdney, Dr. Danks has been working on and off for 25 years. Always there to help a new grad, give a second opinion on a difficult case, and the best damn surgeon at Dewdney! Dr. Danks was an ever present guiding force, with his amazing wisdom, sense of humour and will be sorely missed One of Dr. Danks passions was helping out animals in need, always there to help out our local Trap/Neuter/Release programs. As such Dewdney Animal Hospital is making a donation in his name to the Langley Animal Protection Society. For those of you who wish to help out in Dr. Danks memory, can donate here. https://www.canadahelps.org//langley-animal/p2p/BrianDanks
Those of you that come to Dewdney Animal Hospital are aware that we take Covid-19 seriously. To those in the anti-mask/flat earth community, that are irate that we would rather follow the science then poorly thought out conspiracy theories, allow me to share this story. This girl is suffering from a very rare complication, one that due to my daughter auto-immune issues she too is at risk. So we will continue to follow the rules as put forth by the AMAZING Dr. Henry. And a personal thanks to every client of Dewdney's who are helping keep my family safe and in turn my staff for helping keep our at risk clients safe as well.

Just some of the quirks of working at Dewdney. Just a reminder Dewdney is hiring for a licensed RVT, come work at Dewdney. Make it so

This is the first Halloween in 13 years that Dewdney is not hosting our Teddy Bear Surgery. We look forward to next year when we can once again bring all of our extended Dewdney Family in. If you have photos from Teddy Bear Surgeries of years past please share. Our first filmed Teddy Bear surgery, 2013 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kWXryXh1XI

Meet Saje. Our cute pet of the day!!
With Halloween around the corner people will soon be getting rid of their bales of straw they have used for decoration. If you want to donate them we will use ...them! . Each year we spend thousands of dollars on straw as we use it for the majority of our animals. Any donation of straw is appreciated, no donations are ever too small. . Tell your friends, Tell your family. Anywhere you see these on display, tell them . Our animals will love you forever . . https://www.crittercarewildlife.org/ . #halloween #donate #straw #wildlife #animals #bc See more

Huge thanks to my family who helped me on Sunday haul a huge load of curly Willow cuttings to Critter Care Wildlife Society. Here is a list of supplies that can help them with their mission of helping animals in need. https://www.crittercarewildlife.org/wish-list

Meet Hobo our cute pet of the day!!!!
This is not local, but it does bring up a concern we have with people who let their cats out. Just one of the major risks outdoor cats face.
The lore of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows talk of a mythical beast that roams the dikes and trails. Learn more about the "Legendary Poop Fairy......"
Yup. And we vets are seeing the results. https://www.cbc.ca//br/animal-rescue-regulations-1.4560256
Its been a few weeks, so seems appropriate for Dr. Walton to rant about... Poop.
We need your help! Cooper has a broken leg and needs to have it repaired. Please share and donate!!! An incredibly sweet dog!
600 hundred animals huh? Coming to British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. And exactly how many of these animals will have been tested for behaviour? How many have been fully vet checked? How many will be fostered to allow the dogs to decompress and make sure are healthy or are they going to be sold as fast as they can? How many are coming here due to built up demand. This is not how rescues should be operating. What do you think? https://give.greatergood.org//paws-across-the-pac/c304136
