Breast reconstruction/augmentation with fat grafting here in #Banff This amazing, strong young woman lost both her mother and aunt to breast cancer at a young age In her early 20's her own struggles with breast disease began and she found a mass. She ended up having a lumpectomy that thankfully was benign (PASH). Given her strong family history and difficulty with her own breasts she decided with the help of her general surgeon and plastic... surgeon at the time to undergo bilateral prophylactic mastectomy with implant reconstruction She came to me happy with her result but wanting a more full, youthful appearing breast. You can see in the pre-op pictures (2nd and 4th in this series) that she has hollowing around her implants which is common after mastectomy and breast reconstruction Here I performed SAFE liposuction of her abdomen and flanks to harvest fat to inject back into the breast.
