Dr. Kristjansson and our tech Deanna went out to this sheep farm to do some blood testing. Blood testing allows us to detect Johne’s disease as well as Maedi Visna, which are two diseases that can be spread quickly and are very fatal. If you have any questions about these diseases and want to make sure your flock is disease free, please call the clinic and we can discuss it with you!

This cute little girl came in a couple weeks ago because her mom had stepped on her and accidentally broke her leg. We want to remind everyone when transporting or moving a calf with a broken leg to support the leg as best you can and call us as soon as possible! This little girl received her cast and is at home recovering!

Merry Christmas from Earl Grey Veterinary Services! We believe in giving back to those who support you, and to those who may need the extra help at this time. This year Justin and I are fortunate enough to be in a position to help others, our business has remained open through the COVID pandemic and we have been able to continue to help animals and their families through this scary and unpredictable time. We appreciate everyone’s continued support as we feel incredibly gratef...ul, and welcomed into this new community and hope to get to know each one of you as our world hopefully makes its way to its new normal. There are so many worthwhile causes to support, and it was difficult to choose just one. We decided to spread the joy to a few different organizations to help our local community, a family in need, our seniors, and of course, animals. With your help from our Holiday Contest we raised $513 to donate to The Royal Canadian Legion in Earl Grey, to help spread some joy to our very own community. Our team was honoured to be able to Adopt A Family for Christmas through the Z99/Salvation Army Program, where we were able to provide Christmas breakfast, Christmas dinner, and gifts for a single mother and her three children. We know how hard this year has been for the older generations in our communities, and also decided to participate in London Drugs Stockings for Seniors, where we were able to make a donation to provide comfort items for our Seniors in Care Homes throughout Southern Saskatchewan. Finally, we could not forget about the whole reason we chose this career path, and that was to help animals. Since our nail trim fundraiser was a success, we decided to continue paying it forward by electing to donate $5.00 from every nail trim to our Earl Grey Veterinary Services Angel Fund. Dr Tetlock has always had a passion for helping every animal that she possibly could, and feels that sometimes there are situations where a family in need may require a little extra financial help to get their pet through a hard time. The EGVS Angel Fund has been started, and is in place for those extra special circumstances. Thank you all again, for supporting Earl Grey Veterinary Services. Happy New Years Eve! Reminder: We are closed today (Thursday December 31st, 2020) at 12:00pm, and all day tomorrow January 1st, 2021. We will resume regular office hours on Monday January 4th, 2021!
