She was first welcomed to help with sanitizing the treatment rooms between patients, but has leveled up and is now helping with reception as well! We are following the recommended COVID-19 guidelines given by the B.C Center of Disease Control for allied healthcare providers in clinical settings. These include: cleaning and disinfecting measures, physical changes to patient flow, physical distancing procedures, proper hygiene, and personal protective equipment. If you are having any COVID-19 symptoms please use the PC COVID-19 self-assessment tool at BC Thrive Health or contact the COVID-19 health-link BC at 811 to talk to a nurse if you need advice. We will be happy to see you when you are symptom free.

We can't wait to see some very missed familiar faces! Although we are still awaiting the return of our Registered Massage Therapists and Acupuncturist as they implement proper protocol, we are happy to see non-emergent Chiropractic patients starting May 19th. Dr. Slater doesn't take any days off When he isn't at the Clinic treating emergent patients, he spends his time working away at his cabin. He is looking forward to seeing all of his patients once he can safely do so. Happy Wednesday everyone!!

We are still open for emergent care! By staying open, we can assist those that are in pain and discomfort that would otherwise seek help at a medical office or hospital. It is important to keep those facilities available for others that truly need a Medical Doctor or Nurse, especially with what is going on. We are taking these circumstances extremely seriously and implementing protocol to ensure we can still provide essential care, while minimizing the risk of exposure. UPDATE: Elgin Chiropractic Clinic is taking precautionary steps in our office, based on recommendations from the BC College of Chiropractors, Canadian Chiropractic Association and the BC Ministry of Health, to ensure continued care for patients while minimizing the risk of exposure. As primary healthcare practitioners, chiropractor's treatment of patients suffering from pain or disability that affects a person's normal life and/or work is considered essential care. Our cli...nic has implemented the following procedures in order to maintain that care: 1) all patients are being screened regarding four related symptoms and International travel prior to their booked appointments. 2) we are maintaining an increased number of cleanings and sanitizations in our reception area and treatment rooms 3) we are reducing the number of patients booked into the clinic at any one time 4) spacing out and reducing the number of chairs in the waiting room - if we are at tentative capacity, we are requesting patients to wait in their car and wait for our phone call. 5) having patients take themselves down to their assigned treatment rooms We will continue to reassess our protocols on a regular basis and ensure the we continue to follow the recommendations of our associations and the Ministry of Health.

We ask that you take the same measures and reschedule your appointment(s) with ANY of our practitioners if you are feeling unwell. Thank you for considering those around you - our ultimate goal is to keep everyone healthy and safe.
