Early Spring is the best time to trim lavender and harvest the buds. Garden experts say to leave the dried blooms over the Winter as small birds will feed on the seeds. This ribbon embroidered peacock really makes a statement, doesn't it? Ribbonwork / ribbon embroidery started out in France and the French really were the leaders in this technique for hundreds of years.
