Dear Etch Core Clients, With the increase of downtown activity and those returning to their respective offices, Etch Core will be introducing a new parking initiative for those who frequent the Core location on Stephen avenue. For those who need parking to attend this location we will be offering to compensate half the parking charge on the clients behalf. To honour this, we need visible evidence of the parking ticket, picture and or screenshot of parking plus app from the ...client as proof of payment. Without proof, unfortunately they will be exempt from this compensation. This compensation will only be handed out at the Etch Core Location due to the difficulty of parking, this will not be handed out to those who attend services at the Etch Beltline location. *To qualify for this compensation client must have paid minimum 1 hour for parking and service. Please look below for the closest parking around us, rate and options: TD CORE Shopping Centre ( 745 4 St SW, Calgary, AB ) Monday - Friday Rates $6 per hour until 3pm ( the best for Day rate) Monday - Friday Rate 3pm and later, First 3 hours FREE, after $2 per hour. Weekend Rate - First 3 hours Free, $2 per hour after Bankers Hall West Parkade on 9th avenue ( 888 3 St SW, Calgary AB ) Monday - Friday Rates $12 per Hour (Not the best) Weekend Rates - $2 per day (very reasonable) Calgary Park Plus Lot 7 ( 208 9 Ave SW, Calgary, AB ) Monday - Friday Daytime Rate 6am-6pm $10 per hour ( not the best at the time) Weekend Daytime Rate 6am - 6pm - $1 per hour ( very reasonable ) Everyday Evening Rate between 4pm - 6am - $1 per hour

**New Rules update** Dear ETCH Clients!, due to the new mandate issued by the Calgary government on Mask usage for all indoor spaces; we will be updating our salon rules during this time. - Hours of operation will still be 10am-5pm for both locations following their regular work schedule, minus Sunday at beltline which is still 12-5pm, and Tuesday at the stephen ave/core which is also 12-5pm. ... - Stephen avenue/core Will have a maximum of 10 people allowed in salon at all times. This includes stylists and clients. - Beltline location will have maximum of 12 people Allowed in the salon at all times. This includes stylists and clients. (Beltline has more stylists than core thus 12 people max) - No Groups of people. Anyone not receiving a service at the salon, can not wait in the salon for anyone, Young children and parent/caretaker are the exception. - All clients will still be spaced out as per AHS Guidelines. - All Clients must sign Covid-19 Waiver no exceptions. - All stylists will be wearing Facemasks and other protective gear, as mandated by AHS. - All Clients will now be mandated as well, to wear face masks in all ETCH salons as stated by Calgary bylaw. Exceptions to this are young children, any person with a pre existing Respiratory conditions, as well as those with disabilities that make it hard to wear/put on/take off face masks (example Cerebral Palsy) - If client comes without mask, We will provide a disposable face mask for a $1 charge to their service. - Stephen ave/Core location will still not offer eyelash services, as eyelash products used are imported from Japan, and delivery has been postponed/delayed for quite sometime still. Hello Clients, we will be announcing a new promo for our Junior Stylists as they are now going to be moving onto the floor and taking clients. Junior stylist promo will now be any colour service with or without trim, and receive 20% off the stated price by stylist. For example if you want a root retouch $75 is starting price, will receive 20% off at checkout. If you want a Highlight/balayage service $100 starting price 20% off at checkout of final price. Price varies on ser...vice/colour request and can go up depending on amount of product used/time needed, etc. thus what the quoted/final price is at checkout client will receive 20% off. His name is Toshi and will be working at the Etch Core location Next Month. With over 20 years experience combined from Japan and Vancouver, we are excited to have someone as Toshi join our Etch Family. **URGENT NEWS** Dear ETCH Clients! It comes with unexpected news that as of a Today May 13th 2020, within the last few hours, Jason Kenny and the Alberta Government, have officially announced an update to the relaunch program which greatly affects the Calgary Area. Within this update the relaunch for Service business (Hair Salons and Barber Shops) and restaurants for dine-in at Half Capacity has been POSTPONED from May 14th 2020 (Tomorrow) to May 25th 2020. ... We truly apologize for this unprecedented last minute decision and confusion upon our salon reopening, but as the Government stated within the last few hours; we are no longer able to open business tomorrow as originally planned from the initial Alberta Relaunch plan and must follow the new date they have issued for the Calgary area. We will be calling clients to reschedule. We shut down the online booking once again, and will be calling anyone booked within the 14th- the 24th to reschedule first. Once again we apologize for the inconveniences, the irritations, and grievances this has caused, due to it being a Government Mandate we just don't have any control of the matter and are just following the protocols. Important Closure Notice** The Alberta Government and City of Calgary have issued mandatory closure of all close-contact businesses which include hair salons, tattoo/piercing, esthetics and so forth. Due to this Etch will be cancelling all appointments scheduled for the Month of April. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused but this is a matter no longer in our control and we do not wish to 1. risk the health of our dear clients and 2. have our business fined and flagged by the city for not carrying out the stated mandate. Dear Etch Clients! As of March 18th 2020, it has come to a final decision between Owner, Etch Management and Staff that we are officially closing our salons (both locations) temporarily, to help limit the spread of COVID-19 here in our city. We are still open and operating this week only March 18th - Sunday March 22nd. Any appointments this week shall be kept as is, unless you have cancelled it and rescheduled. ... ETCH HAIR UPDATE!

Dear Etch Clients This is an update on our current situation of our salons as of March 17th 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Etch Hair Design (both locations) will still be operating this week Wednesday March 18th - March 22nd 2020. However, temporarily closure may still be prompted in the future. Compared to other salons such as Hedkandi and Red Bloom Salon who have shut down and temporarily closed, we are much smaller of a local business and do not carry the same capacit...y as them. Therefore for the remainder of this week we will be limiting the amount of people inside our salons. Staff members will only be present at salons during salon hours if they have clients. If no clients, staff members will be advised to not be at work. Any clients booked for this week are asked to only bring themselves to the appointment. We ask clients to avoid bringing in small children, friends, partners etc. to their appointments. The less people in our salons the better for health and safety reasons. With the recent closure of Alberta schools and recreational facilities, we strongly advise anyone that has to come to the salon with a child to reschedule their appointment or to make plans for childcare while at your appointment. In reference to our last email; we still advise any clients who are sick, have travelled or have potentially been exposed to the virus and are in self quarantine to stay at home, cancel and reschedule appointments to a later date, out of respect for yourself and others. Our salon cleaning regime has become extensive for health and safety during these times but we also ask our community to also be aware of their space and others during these times as well. Hello Clients! AB Health has announced that anyone who has travelled outside Canada is expected to do a 14day self quarantine once returned. If anyone has recently travelled and there appointment is in the midst of their self isolation, please give us a call or email and we can reschedule your appointment to a later date.... Dear Etch Clients! Amidst the Covid-19 precautionary advisory detailed by Health Canada, Etch will be implementing cautionary advisory to our clients. If you have travelled to hard hit areas of covid-19 prior to your appointment or are currently ill even mildly; we strongly ask that you call to reschedule or cancel your appointment until the 2 week isolation period and/or are cleared by a doctor. ... Due to the nature of our business providing services and interacting with people in close proximity we are classified via Health Canada as a high risk environment. With this in mind ETCH will be taking further actions of our salon sanitation and up our cleaning and disinfecting of our business'. This is to reduce the risk of transmission and lower the risk of community Health. We will be highly observant of our clients and of our staff for the coming months, until change in advisory via Health Canada. With this in mind if any client has come in still and we determine that they are noticeable sick, we will issue our right to refuse service for the well being of our staff, clients and community. He is doing this to focus training the Junior Stylists at the Betlline Location more. Dear Etch clients, Due to recent increased actions regarding clients "no showing" scheduled appointments without any attempted contact to our salons, Etch will now be implementing a Cancellation Policy as of 2020. Cancellations must be done 24hrs prior to service, either done online via customer account or done manually via salon staff by a phone call. If you can't get in contact with a salon please leave a voicemail with a detailed message stating to cancel and appointment... with reason, and we will cancel the appointment and notify you that it has been done. If cancelling day of must be done at least 2-3 hours prior to scheduled appointment, Unless its an emergency. We will be implementing a 3 strike rule for any and all no shows. 1st time no show with legitimate reason is okay. 1st time no show with no reason or message will be flagged onto the client account. 2nd time no show without reason or message will be flagged again and client will be warned upon upcoming appointments. Client may also be subject to paying portion or full previous no show service on top of new service. 3rd time no show without reason or message customer will be flagged and will no longer be accepted as a client at Etch Hair Salon. All staff members will be mentioning new cancellation policy to remind clients of this new change for those who don't know or have not received this message.
