Participants are being asked to send in a not longer than one minute video. The Classes are conformation and obedience. For conformation the video should include your dog stacked, free or otherwise, show the bite, and a down and back followed by taking your dog around to show the side gait. The video should be of the dog only and not the handler. Conformation classes are: Baby Puppy (3 to just under 6 months), Puppy (6-12 months), Juvenile(12-18 months), Open (any age but not a champion), Champion Class For Obedience we ask that you video the team completing a heeling exercise, the pattern is as follows: Forward, Left turn, Halt, Forward, Fast, Normal, Right turn, Halt, Forward, Slow, Normal, About turn, Halt. How To Submit Entires must be submitted by midnight 14th of June 2020 eastern daylight time. Please include conformation class or obedience, name, age in subject line of your email along with the entry form. Email payment to [email protected],you will be issued a number and post video with your assigned number to Facebook page: FCRSC Virtual Specialty Payment options you can send e-transfer payment directly to [email protected] using the password FlatCoat. If this method of payment is not possible please contact us and we will do our best to come up with alternative payment options. Payment Amount Method Additional information Best dog and best bitch will be selected from which the best of breed and best of opposite will be selected. From the best puppy male and best puppy female the best puppy will be selected. The Flat-Coat with the highest competition score shall be the winner of the obedience competition, This global competition is open to all Flat-Coated Retrievers. Winners will receive a portion of profit to be donated to a charity of their choice and be featured in an upcoming issue of our newsletter FlatOut.

*****CANCELLED****** Regretfully, as with so much else in the world right now, the FCRSC has made the decision to cancel our upcoming Specialty, scheduled for Thunder Bay this coming June. We were hoping this would not become necessary as delaying and rescheduling is not possible for Thunder Bay. We can only hope life returns to a reasonable facsimile of normal as soon as possible and that everyone remains healthy through this trying time. We will be in contact with those w...ho generously made trophy donations through the 2020 FCRSC National Specialty webpage and submitted their entries already to arrange full refunds. Trophy donations submitted with membership renewals will be transferred to the 2021 Specialty group. Although forced to take this action, we are already looking forward to 2021. The FCRSC Specialty is scheduled for Sept 11-13, 2021 in conjunction with the Oakville Kennel Club in Ancaster, Ontario. We hope you will all join us.
