We'd love to give a shout out to the Village of Fillmore Volunteer Bursary group, namely Katie and Matthew for helping us on public skating days!! What a great initiative for the community, thank you for your help!

Just a reminder to get your figure skaters registered! Things will be firing up very soon! The Fillmore Skating Club is excited for another season of skating! Pending Covid regulations, skating will start up in January two times a week with Caitlyn Beare returning as coach on Monday’s and we welcome Zaida Woodward as a coach on Wednesday. Once again, we cannot thank this community and surrounding area enough for you generosity!! We weren't too sure how this was all going to work out and while it wasn't the way we wanted to do it, at least we were still able to go ahead with the auction! All in all, we raised $5,180.00!!! Some very exciting news for the rink came down the pipe this week!! Over $44,000 to assist with our upgrades!

Our hearts go out to all of the families who lost someone they love, the province of Nova Scotia and to our very own RCMP members who are surely feeling the los...s. Due to the closing of other local rec/leisure centres and schools, there will be no Pickleball or Public Skating until further notice. We will keep you informed as to when we can be open, but for now, this is the most responsible decision. Wash your hands and stay healthy everyone!

Game on! Canteen and bar are open. Don't forget about pork chop supper tonight from 5:30-7:00!! Fresh chops from Maurer's meats, mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, a bun and juice for $15! Add a slice of cheesecake for $2! Kids meals available as well and 3 and under free!

Do you have your team entered yet?! Keep in mind, we will have the court set up crossways at the far end of the curling rink (not up and down the arena) so don't worry about running too far! There will be a beer gardens set up downstairs as well to keep everyone close to the action! Minors are allowed and we welcome some younger teams if they'd like to play. It's 3 on 3 so totally up to you how many players you'd like to have. We want this to be a fun event for everyone, so w...e'd love to see a couple more teams entered! Unless we get a lot more in the next couple days, we'll just run games on Saturday. Also, even if you're not playing, please join us Saturday night for a pork chop supper! For $15 you get a pork chop, mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, a bun and juice and for an extra $2, a slice of cheesecake! Kids meals are $8 and 3 and under are free! Supper will run from 5:30-7. If you would like to volunteer in the kitchen or bar, please comment on here or contact a board member! We hope to see you this weekend!

What a great Friday night we had at the rink! We were able help send Jenn and Encore! off to Telemiracle with another $700 to add to their donation! Make sure you're watching this afternoon (Sunday) from 1:30 on to see some amazing hometown talent from here! Congrats on all your hard work, break a leg today!

Who doesn't feel like cooking on this beautiful Friday?! The rink has a super affordable and tasty option for you tonight to not only avoid cooking, but also support an amazing Saskatchewan cause! The Foxes hockey team donated food to the cause, so there will be smokies on a bun and a cupcake for $5, with all the money going to Telemiracle!! We will fire up the deep fryer as well AND the rink will be donating $1 from every drink sold in the lounge tonight! Pickleball starts at 6:30 so come out for the evening and help Encore! collect donations to announce on Telemiracle this weekend!!

If you're looking for something fun to do Friday night (tomorrow), get a team into this tournament! Still looking for some more kids teams, they will start at 6:00pm. Adults will start at 6:30! The canteen will be open for supper and the lounge will be open throughout the whole tournament as well. We will be donating $1.00 from each drink sold to Encore! to add to their Telemiracle collection. They will also be collecting donations on top of what the tournament earns to present this weekend! Come out for some fun and support an amazing Saskatchewan cause!

The Fillmore Rec Board would like to extend a HUGE Thank You to the Fillmore & District Lions Club for the donation to pay for new chairs (& tables that we haven't picked up yet)!! It makes such a huge improvement in our facility and we really appreciate it! On that note, if anyone is interested in our old chairs, they are free! Please come and get them
