Thank you to all the seasonals, RVers , trailers and tenters that came and stayed at Fishermans Cove RV & Campground this past season. We definitely live in a beautiful area and the South Shore has so much to see and offer. Despite COVID-19 and a slow start to the season it turned out fantastic! We met so many wonderful people from all over Nova Scotia and quite a few in the last couple months from New Brunswick. Hopefully we will see you all again next year without COVID-19 hanging over us! We are open until October 24th so if you enjoy camping in the fall we are open for you!

Today the Air Fried Food and Ice Cream Boat had a visitor. Ayngelina Brogan an award winning Canadian travel and food writer from Toronto stopped by. Ayngelina is an editor and publisher of a blog Bacon is Magic! It was very interesting talking with Ayngelina and her mother and we had a nice visit. I will keep everyone posted if she writes about our Air Fried Food Boat

We had some big units roll in last night. People staycationing from all over Nova Scotia have been camping here at the South Shore and enjoying all the beauty it has to offer!

Busy weekend at Fisherman Cove! We have a full house and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

Its official we passed the inspection and can now open the Air Fried Food and Ice Cream Boat! Opening day to be announced soon!

Officially announced today by Nova Scotia Health Authority for opening date of June 5, 2020. All seasonal sites are full and transitional sites are booking quickly.

The cold weather didnt stop some of the seasonal campers from coming out to enjoy some well deserved fresh air and relaxation. Social distancing, fires, family, fur families, and friends all came to enjoy the Victoria Day Long Weekend. The clouds are breaking up and the sun setting. It turned into a beautiful day and evening. I am truly blessed.

Transitional camping is opening up on June 1! Sites are booking quickly. Sorry no seasonals are available.

Great news....Overnight camping has been approved starting June 1, 2020! Some conditions apply such as self contained RV with water and washrooms. Will post full update as soon as the formal regulations are released. Book early as we are a small campground and fill up quickly. Beaches can also be accessed at this time!

FROM NOVA SCOTIA TOURISM Dear campground operators, The Province of Nova Scotia announced today, May 1, the easing of some restrictions around COVID-19 that directly relate to campground operations.... Provincial and private campgrounds remain closed, but they can perform necessary maintenance and preparations for opening. An exception is recreational vehicles (RV) parked year-round at private campgrounds, which can be used with conditions. This means that seasonal campers will be able to stay in their RVs/trailers, but no short-term camping is permitted at this time. Use of RVs is restricted to one household unit at a time, travel must be directly to the RV and back, and travelling back and forth frequently from RV and primary residence is discouraged. Existing public health directives around social distancing and social gatherings remain in place. People must keep two metres apart and not gather in groups of more than five. These measures take effect immediately. It has been a busy winter around Fishermans Cove RV and Campground. The campsite and the house are going thru a facelift! Lets all pray that small businesses can open safely in the near future! The Campground will be ready with a fresh look as soon as we are allowed to open. 5 new sites with 3 way service have been constructed and all the other sites have been upgraded to be 3 way service. A new septic system has been installed as well. Hope to see everyone real soon but in the mean time lets do our part in controlling the spread of COVID19 virus and please everyone stay home and stay healthy and strong!

Fishermans Cove RV & Campground seasonal tenants appreciation dinner. Was a fantastic time. Had an extra from the Netherlands that had never seen a plucked turkey let alone going in the deep fryer. Thank you Lloyd and Zoe for your help and the wonderful extras you brought. The Sweet Potato casserole was a hit and the Turnip Puff and the Buttercup Squash were so tasty. Thank you to Billy Robinson, Gordon Yetman, and Jim Little for the delicious turkey you guys did a great job... for a first time! Thank you to Alexis Little and Susan Rudderham for your help setting up and cleaning up! Thank you everyone that contributed and participated in the dinner. It was so wonderful to see everyone and overall it was a very enjoyable evening. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and your families. Well the September long weekend is upon us already. The weather is fantastic and most of the weekend campers are here and set up. Its a full house at Fishermans Cove RV & Campground. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and plays safe!

Such a nice feeling when a customer comes in the office to say thank you they had a wonderful time and they enjoyed it so much they want to book the same site for next year!
