Just to change things up a bit, some sand was brought in from the North Bahamas. Don't the new traps look great in front of #3 green?
Beginning with the driving range and followed by a few holes on the front 9, this is what the course looks like right now. We will post when things change for the better. Once the snow is gone and the greens are dry, further work can be done on the greens to make them ready to play.
The Driving Range is Open! From 10 am to 4 pm daily. Come see us in the pro shop for a golf ball vending machine ticket.
We will be back out golfing at Flowing Springs soon, however, the date is not yet known.
I think I got it right.....
Who here are looking forward to golf season, soon.......?
Dreams shots vs reality......... Where would your shots go?
Something fun and relaxing......
Oh, so many of these happen sooo often........
For senior golfer's:- PGA 2021 RULE CHANGES IN EFFECT FOR GOLFERS AGE 50+ Rule 9k.34 If a tree is between the ball and the hole, and the tree is deemed to be ...younger than the player, then the ball can be moved without penalty. This is so because this is simply a question of timing; when the player was younger, the tree was not there so the player is being penalized because of his age. Rule 1.a.5 A ball sliced or hooked into the Rough shall be lifted and placed on the Fairway at a point equal to the distance it carried or rolled into the Rough with no penalty. The senior player should not be penalized for tall grass which ground keepers failed to mow. Rule 2.d.6 A ball hitting a tree shall be deemed NOT to have hit the tree. This is simply bad luck and luck has no place in a scientific game. The senior player must estimate the distance the ball would have traveled if it had not hit the tree, and play the ball from there. Rule 3.B.3 There shall be no such thing as a lost ball. The missing ball is on or near the course and will eventually be found and pocketed by someone else, thereby making it a stolen ball. The senior player is not to compound the felony by charging himself with a penalty. Rule 4.c.7 If a putt passes over a hole without dropping, it is deemed to have dropped. The Law of Gravity supersedes the Rules of Golf. Rule 5. Putts that stop close enough to the cup that they could be blown in, may be blown in. This does not apply to balls more than three inches from the Hole. No one wants to make a mockery of the game. Rule 6.a.9 There is no penalty for so-called out of bounds. If penny-pinching golf course owners bought sufficient land, this would not occur. The senior player deserves an apology, not a penalty. Rule 7.G.15 There is no penalty for a ball in a water hazard, as golf balls should float. Senior players should not be penalized for any shortcomings of the manufacturers. Rule 8.k.9 Advertisements claim that golf scores can be improved by purchasing new golf equipment. Since this is financially impractical for many senior players, one-half stroke per hole may be subtracted for using old equipment. Please advise all your senior friends of these important rule changes. Golf is...above all...a game of integrity.
We'll be back playing again before we know it.
Next time you are bored at the driving range
CLOSING FOR THE SEASON Due to the upcoming weather forecast, we will be closing the course for the season on October 15th. We had planned on staying open until about the 24th of October. Thank you to all golfers, members, suppliers and staff for a good 2020 season. Thank you all for understanding and abiding by the COVID rules. ... Let's hope 2021 will be better. Golf is a great sport to get outside, get with friends, family and colleagues. Let's keep it going in 2021. Thank you.
With a pre shot routine like this what could go wrong? - @krallmemaybe
Looks pretty simple to me but a person should perhaps have an extra ball or two with them
Is it Spring yet?
Who would want this job? Literally 'picking' up range balls. Think golfers were aiming at him back then too?
This was it, the last day (October 14th) for the course for this season. I hope you enjoyed our posts for this year. We're looking forward to next season already.
Looking down #6 from the bridge.
Another nice fall day.
Sunrise this morning from 18. There are still a few of these left in the season.
This is worth a read. We are likely a bit too hard on ourselves, based on PGA stats.......
Beautiful day - very busy course.
The leaves make for a nice scene but also make it difficult to find your ball ... The path on hole 7.
Windy but still a good day to play late today. The colours are changing and the leaves are starting to fall.
