Plum Catering Oakville generously donated 188 meals yesterday evening to families supported by Front Line Outreach. Families were treated to a pasta with cream sauce, salad and savoury chicken. ... Despite the fact that COVID-19 has hit the entertainment district like a wrecking ball this family found it important to give to others that maybe struggling even more. Those that received the meals were extremely grateful. Many seniors, single moms and families that are financially and emotionally strained. We LOVE Thursdays! Thursdays, our amazing team of volunteers and community partners pull together and cook, prepare and deliver meals to seniors, individuals and families, all in need of encouraging support. We are so glad we play a major roll in making this possible. Our volunteers had a fun day(maybe to much fun Brenda) cooking baked turkey breast, steamed rice with veggies, seasoned roasted carrots (by request from our families),stewed lentils (meeting the needs of our ...vegetarian & Halal) families , and a big pot turkey soup loaded with vegetables. 129 people received hot and hearty meals today. Thank you Paradise Chicken Oakville for all the take out food containers, Thank you to our amazing community for their generous donations of freshly baked cookies, squares, and heartfelt encouraging cards. And, Thank you to our AMAZING volunteers for your time and passion in the kitchen making each meal with love. It was truly a great day! See more

Food for life was busy this week delivering masks to community partners while supporting families and individuals accessing programs to assist with food insecurities. We are so grateful to receive 2000 masks to help vulnerable community members stay safe during COVID. It's just one more step in hopes to protect our community and those we support during COVID. ... The community kitchen was put to good use today making 60 servings of tuna casserole and 100+ servings of macaroni salad. Thank you to our friends at Paradise Chicken Oakville for the macaroni salad and containers weekly. Your continued support has made the world of difference. We also received a generous donation of rice, beef, oodles of veggies and taco bowl containers from our friends at FarEastTaco. Karen and her team went over and above to provide 100+ meals to seniors... and the most vulnerable in the Oakville community. Our kitchen volunteers had so much fun creating taco bowls with all the ingredients to prepare savoury hearty meals. Wishing our community partners a very prosperous New Year. Meet AJ! Aj sold one of his hockey track suits that he outgrew and used the money to buy non-perishable food to support Front Line Outreach’s emergency Food Bank. With help from friends and family members Aj collected approximately 100lbs of food and received $100. In donations to support this program....
