Everyone Eats Christmas Supper update: Things are coming together nicely with the help of Gladden Smith we are gathering all the supplies needed for a wonderful... Christmas meal. The great community of Brandon has been chipping in with goods and financial support to make this a big win! Local businesses, credit unions, service groups and churches have stepped up to help us roll out the meal for 2020. We’ve all joined together to make this a success. Chef Nick is fine tuning a nutritious tasty menu based on donations and rescued food we have received. Family style portions for 5 will be produced so your cohort can help themselves like a traditional meal. Lisa and Deb have been crafting the teams of volunteers who are essential to make this happen. Ordering will be available by next Monday 7 December. In this unusual year when we cannot get together in groups of larger than 5 or include people outside of our bubble/cohort, cooking a big turkey and ham supper doesn’t make sense to a lot of people.. let us do it for you (and no pots to clean)! The pay what you can model will make this financially viable, suggested donation per meal is $11.00. If you are in a position to contribute more for your meal those funds will go directly to helping a neighbour out who may be quietly struggling with this holiday season. www.everyoneeatsbrandon.ca to order (starting 7 December). #goodkarma We are also encouraging pick up and will have a second pick up location at The John Howard Society of Brandon 153 8th Street backdoor. If you can pick up at JHSB or BU please do to reduce our volunteer driver need. JHSB will offer a limited warm dining area (COVID 19 regulations of the day compliant). If you have a few hours free on Christmas season we could use your help in producing this contact free Christmas meal. Help is still required in preparing the service on the 23rd and 24th and delivering/running meals for pick up on the 25th. [email protected] to volunteer.
Everyone Eats Brandon received a wonderful donation from Brandon Credit Unions
