Good news! The Province has included horse stables within the list of permitted outdoor activities that Weather permitting, and granted that they maintain a physical distance of two metres from other people, Ontarians will still be able to access these outdoor recreation facilities. Maintaining your physical and mental health is easier in the presence of a horse.

You may dislike resolutions, like I do. The pressure, the inevitable failure to live up to the expectations. I've found that instead of resolutions, setting 'intentions' and creating a word or theme to focus on for the year has been super helpful in moving forward. Hearing your word echo in your mind throughout the year (last year my word was beauty) encourages us to try new things. The Blue Moon session was special in many ways. We gathered on the back hill and were joined by the herd for a time of reflection. Zorro wasn’t shy to join our circle as you can see! Thanks to everyone who came out and set an intention for the next phase.

Evidence that horses are incredibly social and fully connected to their herd members: watch how the lead horse comes toward me, then turns to look back and make sure his mare is coming. Then she does the same to the mini. Each one of them stops to greet me with a fist bump from their muzzle, and makes my day.

Listen to the crickets and the breeze...ahhh, heaven!

I used to feel goofy brushing the horses with a mask, for my allergies, but now it feels quite normal! Today is a beautiful day for horse time. We’re open to bookings if you need to ground and reset. Time in the pasture with the herd can work wonders.

We got a lot of rain the other day! Gauge here says almost 2.5 inches!
