What does one do with 3000 underoos? Well... bras too... aaaand maybe even some pj’s if we can raise enough money! ((WINK WINK)) Wine + Undies is happy to anno...unce these 2 organizations who will be gifted our haul. We believe in their missions, their responsible decision making and good hearts. They do the real work. They’re local heroes. Let’s stock them up! Regina Transition House: Saskatchewan has the highest rate of reported domestic violence incidents in the country. Regina Transition House provides a safe haven for women and children who are leaving situations of violence and abuse. They also provide continued support to families after they leave the shelter through their outreach programs such as weekly support groups for women and personal development and recreational programming for children. Unfortunately, they are only able to help 29% of the people who have called for shelter and have experienced a reduction in grants and fundraising opportunities. Carmichael Outreach: Their mission is to foster empowerment through dignity, respect and advocacy in our community. Carmichael Outreach, located in Regina, provides various services to those here who experience poverty and homelessness and their mission is to end all of those struggles - together. Through their programs and services, they aim to support the most marginalized members of the community, and work every day to remind people of the value and respect they deserve.

Impact. Around this time in 2018 on a ‘wild’ Friday night making supper & sipping on a cheap rose, I finally got the nerve to act on an idea I’d been thinki...ng about. Maybe it was the vino... maybe it was this weird feeling to do more with my life as I approach the big 4-0... who knows?! Either way, a friend posted an interesting stat about underwear being the least donated item where she was volunteering. I couldn’t shake it. Something so small that most of us take for granted and on some scale I knew I’d have friends who wanted to do something to help as well. Cue a random fb post, countless shares and a call from a local news station and we were unexpectedly official. Over the last 2 years, THIS is the wave we created. 3300 undies & bras. Look at that number. Look what you did. And I know we can do it again. Only weeks until we start officially collecting for our 3rd year. $10 + a bottle of wine This year, your donation will support women in crisis through the Regina Transition House as well as women and children experiencing poverty and/or homelessness through Carmichael Outreach. The wine we collect goes into a massive draw to be redistributed! 1:14 chance to win up to 60 bottles before the holiday season. Win-win. Alllll the feels.
