Lots of updates for the 2021 tax season!

Today's Updates: 1) CEBA update!! Business who had 2019 payroll of $20,000 to $1.5M can now apply for the $40K loans. This is expanded from the previously announced $50K-$1M payroll range. 2) Commercial Rent Assistance-- Not much detail here, just that the feds will be working with the provinces to implement something.

CEWS applications will begin April 27th and beginning today there will be a calculator available online to help business work out what the subsidy will be. More to be released later today about this....

3 new updates for businesses just announced: 1. The Wage Subsidy is increased to 75% from the previously announced 10% for qualifying businesses, retroactive to March 15, 2020. 2. New loans are coming for small businesses through the newly created Canada Emergency Business Account. 3. GST/HST payments are being deferred until June 2020 as well as duties and taxes on imports.... More to come...
