Serenity: There are places in the world where you feel totally at peace as the natural surroundings stop time and immerse you, and hope emerges from the clouded mind. Amongst Nature, we are gifted an oasis away from the everyday; it is a pure world comprised of the majesty of colours, songs, and forms.

The lush forests of British Columbia evoke a sense of tranquility and peace within us, that overwhelming feeling of belonging and being home. Light softly plays through the canopy lighting our own unique experiences through these magical places.

Dream Forest: I felt a strong sense of peace and serenity walking down this forest path. All was quiet except for the rustling trees and the occasional melodic bird. As I journey further into this forest, I feel like I’m in a dream, enchanted by the emerald green and diversity of life surrounding me.

Timeless visions surround us as we journey into the heart of the wilderness. The voices of the trees, the birds, and the wind guide us as we encounter the present, and our innermost selves. The wilderness is where time stops, and life begins. Work: Timeless

For me, panoramas best capture the dynamics of landscape; optimal to create an immersive experience with the natural world. You feel at one with the image, as if you were there in the present moment.

Loving Embrace:" Let nature's spirit embrace you, and envelope you to the point of only feeling the present. When I'm out in nature, I see the landscape I'm about to capture for only what it is: what is the lighting like, what is present, what stories do they have to share? I let the land around me embrace me, and take me into its reality.

One of the most magnificent places I've had the privilege to photograph is the Tetshinshini Alsek Provincial Park in northwestern BC. This area is designated as a World Heritage Site and is one of the largest protected areas in the world with 8.5 million hectares. As I watched the sun gently touch the mountains and glaciers of the Alsek Range, the mist from the Tetshinshini River lit with an inner glow that defied the imagination. I have to admit I came away changed by the vast wilderness of this area.

The sun sets across the dramatic, cloud-filled skies during a journey to Vancouver Island. The Salish Sea is the ideal location to watch the passing of the day, and the beginning of a new one. The seas become liquid gold as the sun's rays reflect off of its rippling surface.

Morant's Curve is honorably named after a prominent photographer, Nicholas Morant, whose work promoted the growth of tourism throughout Western Canada. Today, this iconic landmark continues to be a breathtaking symbol of Western Canada's bountiful natural landscape: pristine, untamed, and filled with wanderlust.

Botany Bay is a site for sublime moments: stormy skies are pierced by emerging rays of light that paint the darkened seas with a golden shimmer. This event is created by crepuscular rays - commonly known as "God Rays" - which create unique lighting conditions across the landscape that are unlike any other.

Marshes are the threshold between land and water: a state of fluidity and constant transition unknown to any other landscape on Earth. It is a world we can enjoy visually, but can seldom walk through. We can only come to know it through its swaying grasses, plants, and migratory animals who all call it home. Almost like a medieval castle overlooking the park, Castle Mountain gets its unique appearance due to different rates of erosion that have occurred across its body since time immemorial. It graces the landscape with a robust majesty, a quality almost unique to mountain ranges.

Where is your favourite British Columbian summer getaway? : Built in 1914, White Rock Pier was once the prime location for steamships to dock, carrying passengers for the Great Northern Railway. White Rock became the West Coast hub for beach resorts, and for tourists seeking leisure along the shorelines to catch the cool ocean breeze.

Maligne Lake is the largest in the Canadian Rockies, and a location filled with layers of history. An important site traditionally known as Chaba Imne (Beaver Lake), it was later visited by botanist and artist, Mary Schäffer, who explored the lake from Lake Louise with a local Indigenous man, Samson Beaver, in 1908.

Where will you adventure off to? Skookumchuck Narrows is an opening between the open waters of the Georgia Strait and the large Sechelt Inlet. As the tide comes in and out, water pours through this opening, creating the Sechelt Rapids. The difference in water levels between one side of the rapid and the other can exceed two metres in height. The speed of the current can exceed 30 km/hr.

The Athabasca River is Alberta's longest river, stretching its presence across the landscape for 1,231 km. It originates from the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, where it generously feeds from the majestic glaciers and cold waters, allowing its serpentine body to cut through the province, feeding the forests and wildlife with its life-affirming elixir.

Wisdom comes from curiosity, beginning in our infancy: owls begin their pursuit of knowledge as a nestling. Nature functions on reciprocity: knowledge only comes from experiences and teachings passed down from mothers.

What lies just below the ocean's surface? Underneath these majestic waves are almost otherworldly communities of life, echoing the ebb and flow of the ceaseless currents. It is another world waiting for us to explore it, to connect with it.

Vancouver Island is an environment for enchantment. A mist laden dawn hits the British Columbia Coast: like a translucent veil set upon our world's stage, the mists invite a sense of mysticism - or, that which exists beyond our reality.

Inhabiting the boreal woodlands of Northern Canada, the Woodland Caribou is the largest of their species. Their traditional lands we from Alaska to Newfoundland, and as far south as New England, when the forests were still present.
