We had a super busy and successful weekend with Denali and I showing Friday and Saturday at the Kawartha Summer Classic held at RCRA, and student Catie Robinson showing at the Caledon Horse Trials today. Denali took first place in the Open PSG on Friday with a 71.2% and first place in the Intermediate 1 with a 69.8% on Saturday! Catie completed her first pretraining level event at Caledon and did a such a great job! She put in a decent dressage test, a clear show jump round... and a clear cross country round over a big course. She incurred some time penalties on cross country which moved her down in the placings to eighth, but I'm so proud of her for putting her horse's welfare first and going slow on such a sweltering hot day! Congrats Catie!! Huge thank you to Brittney Farrell for keeping things running smoothly at the farm all weekend!!! We certainly redeemed ourselves on Sunday with our redo of the Intermediate 1 in the FEI test of choice! We had one mistake in the three tempis, but otherwise had a fairly fluid test to end up with a 68.1% and we won the class by a five percent margin! A huge thank you to Craig and his team for supporting the dressage community and putting on the Caledon Spring Jubilee!! Denali and I had a great start to our weekend yesterday at the Caledon Spring Jubilee! We placed third in the PSG with a 70.2%, on the heels of my amazing coach who took the top two spots with Cyrus and Ribot! Our first time in the ring at Intermediate 1 did not go exactly as I envisioned today however. Poor Denali managed to get her tongue stuck between her bits for almost the entire trot tour. This caused us some issues, but we persevered and she was able to fix it during the walk work. We recovered and pulled off a decent canter tour to end up with a 65%. I'm proud of my little diva for sticking it out with me and working through what I'm sure was an uncomfortable situation for her! Tomorrow we get another shot at the I1 in the FEI test of choice. Looking forward to redeeming ourselves!

A fantastic end to our weekend here in Ottawa!! Denali and I did the PSG in the FEI test of choice today and we won the class by four percent with a 70.2%! Still lots to work on for the next show, but I'm happy that we were able to improve our scores each day. Intermediate 1, here we come! Tom finished off his amazing results in the CDI this weekend with a win in the Intermediate 1 freestyle with Cyrus!
