I walk A LOT - between taking Raffi to the dog park and running errands all over the neighbourhood, I cover a lot of ground daily. Comfortable boots are essential. I don’t know about you, but this week has felt like a month stuffed into a few short days. I am conscious of toxic positivity - forcing myself to be super happy no matter what’s going on is ridiculous. The daily stream of toxic news make that impossible. What I believe is that I’ll have bad days and brilliant days, and on the crappy ones, I just believe that I need to accept those shitty emotions and really feel them. But after that, I have to move on. I know that life will get brighter, happier and easier in the near future. But for now, I’m keeping my bubble small and enjoying the stunning hydrangeas on my walk with Raffi. Happy weekend friends. Be safe @ Kitsilano Beach

So proud of you Dan Levy, your cast, family and crew of @schittscreek for sweeping the comedic category at tonight’s Emmys. I met Dan years ago when he was an MTV host with @jessicruickshank of The After Show. He approached me to write a column for Flare - his mix of funny with fashion was irresistible. I asked him to write a couple of samples and was instantly sold. And now @instadanjlevy charm and charisma shine to make all Canadians proud. I’ll be watching the series again. @georgepimentel1

The words you say to yourself matter. As the most life-changing summer of my life wraps up, I think of words like adventurous, resilient, persistent and positive. I always look for silver linings. I remind myself that change, especially the unplanned kind, can be exhilarating and welcome. While I certainly wasn’t expecting a lot of what was thrown at me this summer (new city, no job) I realize now how much I needed it.
