Loyalist Fencing Club is ready to get back to the blades after a holiday break! Our Winter/Spring 2020 Schedule is as follows Week of January 15/16 will be free classes for current club members (Jan 15 for foil and Jan 16 for sabre), and an open house for anyone new interested in learning more about the club. Current members can bring a friend if you want (though you can bring a friend any night if they are interested in joining us). ... Officially, Winter/Spring session will begin on January 22/23 and be 12 weeks in total (so cost will be $240 instead of $280 from the fall) All Ages Foil/Epee Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00* on: January 22, 29, February 5, 12, 26 (No classes on the week of 19/20) March 4, 11, 25 (No classes over March Break) April 1, 8, 15, 22, All Ages Sabre Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00* on: January 23, 30 February 6, 13, 27 (No classes on the week of the 19/20) March 5, 12, 25 (the 25th is a Wednesday All Weapons Class; also, no classes on the 19th because of March Break) April 2, 9, 16, 22 (the 22nd is a Wednesday All Weapons Class) *Please note that these times may shift slightly depending on unanticipated changes in facility or coach availability.

We are taking registration for both teen and adult fencers . Foil and epee are taught on Wednesdays and sabre is taught on Thursdays. Fall classes begin September 18 & 19, 6:00-8:00 at Sir John A Macdonald Public School in Belleville. All classes include a warm-up, conditioning and development of fenc...ing specific physical fitness skills (strength, speed, agility, flexibility), and technical/tactical skill development (fencing footwork, bladework, strategy), and bouting. Virtually all new members come to us with no previous fencing experience. Club fees cover all equipment needed for the beginner fencer. Come try a class for free. We offer a fence as a family rate discount. We aim to provide a safe, social atmosphere for the development of new skills, friendly competition, and physical fitness. Club members join for a variety of reasons including improving fitness levels, to learn a new sport, to engage in competition, and one of our objectives is to respect individual goals and foster progress in striving towards these goals.
