Lots of people lost their decks during Sunday's flood. Some were lucky enough that they didn't leave the property, others were not. Thank you Lisa Hopkins for sharing photos of the damage to your cottage on Cedar Drive.
SANTA'S COMING!
Due to the high winds and water last night, the marina is closed until further notice. We are still assessing the damage and we will be in contact with everyone who was affected by the storm. For everyone’s safety, PLEASE do not come down to the marina unless we have contacted you.... Thank you.
After taking a beating from the high water, we now have a new ramp! It's now open. The lake is flat today - great day to bring the bass boat down.
Pops got hit hard. Thanks for sending these over Selina.
It’s a 12 hour day for the concrete guys at the ramp. Tomorrow it will be cut and it will be ready for use Monday.
Water is highest it’s ever been. Who has water in their cottage? Email any photos for posting to [email protected]
Sun going down but things are looking good
Water still coming up.
Some camera-shy giggles from these friendly faces wearing some of the new marina masks. Available in 2 sizes and 3 color combinations. Also 2 pink hoodies remain on the shelf - like the one Stephanie is wearing.
New ramp coming along nicely!

Masks for $7.95 now available at gas bar and marina office. Thank you to Sheila Tough in the trailer park for your assistance.
We are thankful for the SWIFT project bringing fibre internet to Turkey Point. Judging by how busy the Execulink Telecom workers have been, I think we're all excited! I think this means we will be able to get our debit machines in the office and gas bar off of dial up! The Turkey Point (and area) project comprises of 905 dwellings and is valued at $2.1 million.... Our ramp will closed for maintenance Thursday and will reopen Monday afternoon weather permitting. Sorry for any inconveniences.
XL and 2XL restocked in the store. Marina tees are $14.95 and hoodies from $29.95. Christmas is around the corner - shop for the boater on your list. ... All sizes available from youth to adult 2XL.
Here's a story about the radio towers that send signal to VHF radios in boats and planes. They interviewed our GM Brad Thomson. Voice your opinions - as we all have radios and cell service is still spotty on the lake.
Thank you to everyone for the support the past 2 decades.
Big muskies being caught on the lake lately. Share your photos with us for repost on the company Facebook. Send pics to [email protected]
Afternoon The Thomson family and MacDonald Turkey Point Marina are thrilled to announce this past weekend The London Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament raised over $10,000.00 and counting . With a 20 year grand total of a amazing $150,000.00 . Many thanks goes to the community support, competitors, volunteers, and all of our fantastic sponsor over the 20 years. During these times of Covid our event was one of the only tournaments in Southern Ontario. Social Distancing pract...ices were followed and it was a great day for the Hospital. Our 2020 champions were Dave and John Shields with a total weight of 20.63 pounds for 5 Bass outstanding. Big Fish winners Rob and Hunter Spietals with a Largemouth Bass tipping the scale of 6.71 pounds this bass was the biggest we have weighed in the 20 history of the event. Special thanks to Jason and Trevor Barnucz for running the scales shuttling fish. Also Long Point Anglers Association’s John Rakoczi and Mike for taking great care of the fish with the Live release boat. Over 90 bass were returned to Long Point Bay with no fatalities again this year to help ensure our fishery will be strong for many years to come. With 1100 children using the Hospital from Norfolk and neighbouring counties our charity efforts are vital and we look forward to many more events in the future. Thank You, A child’s Health is the greatest gift. Brad Thomson, General Manager
An interesting graph showing the monthly interest of "Pottahawk" in the last 16 years, suggesting Pottahawk has more than halved in popularity since 2013. Think that sounds about right?
Here are some photos from yesterday! A letter from Brad Thomson to follow. If you're a competitor and are looking for a photo of you on the stage and don't see it in this post, email [email protected] and he will be able to look through the library. He has over 200+ photos but here are some that we thought captured some of the best moments.
Fall colours at 7:45 this morning
Update on yesterday!
