Macess Inc. was recently engaged to manage the design, fabrication, delivery and installation of a Launch and Recovery System (LARS) to be used in conjunction with a Kongsberg HUGIN Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) on-board the Scientific Research Vessel, R.V. Coriolis II.

Macess Inc. was recently engaged by WSP Canada Inc to manage the fabrication, delivery and installation of a 32' side mounted pivoting pole and adapter plate to be installed on-board the Scientific Research Ship, R.V. Coriolis II. The complete system incorporated a SBP-216S Sub-Bottom Profiler and HiPAP 352P-H High Precision Acoustic Positioning System which will be used to survey the Ocean Floor between Gaspe, QC and the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, QC in order to locate the most suitable location for the laying of underwater cables, a project being undertaken by Hydro Québec with a completion date of 2025. We were even fortunate enough during the commissioning of the system to recieve a visit from a Beluga Whale.
