We love transformations that take less than a year! Hudson had a deep overbite, mismatched midlines, and a narrow smile. He was an Invisalign superstar who finished his treatment in under a year. The main focus of treatment of deep overbites is making the smile wider: as the back teeth expand and make space, the overlap in the front decreases. There are 3 reasons for starting early treatment while the patient still has baby teeth: 1. Growth differences between the upper and lower jaws causing underbites or severe overbites. 2. Crossbites of the front or back teeth where the upper teeth are caught on the outside of the lower teeth. 3. Severe crowding that causes some adult teeth to be impacted or blocked out.
