Yesterday I met with Ministry of Transportation Parliamentary Assistant Kinga Surma to share the great servicing work completed in downtown Clifford this past summer in partnership with the Province. We discussed Clifford's downtown, highway improvements, sustaining connecting link funding, access to Provincial Gas Tax, and improving the communication surrounding highway reconstruction. Thanks once again to Triton Engineering for their support and partnership on this project.
On Monday I had the honour of attending the County of Wellington Remembrance Ceremony. Partnering with our local legion branches, we sought to honour the 535 fallen soldiers from Wellington County who fought in World Wars I and II, Korea and Afghanistan.
Thank you to Clifford residents and businesses for your patience during the construction period. Be sure to come out and celebrate on November 15th for Clifford's Light up the Street.
When we talk about engaging and supporting youth in Minto, this is exactly what we mean. Congratulations to Norwell District Secondary School and Minto Youth Action Council on this excellent initiative, creating a safe, calm and positive space for students.
