Well it is Friday again and we are almost through January 2019. With the sun shining today we can feel spring in the air--at least for today--Avoid the spring rush and book your furniture repair and refinish today.Happy Robbie Burns Day everyone. Being CBC listeners it was interesting when one of our workers spied this article on the CBC site. What was really interesting is that when we looked at the 1956 phone book picture there was an a listing for J.D. McAskill under Woodworkers, along with MacDonald & Rowe and MF Schurmans. Daniel opened McAskills in 1947 after coming back from the war. He had worked at Christies Woodworking in St John NB before the war. Note the attached phone bill for 1949 --$3.55 plus $0.73 long distance for total of $4.28. Plus the bill is easy to read and understand!
