Do you know where the word toast came from? It originated in Rome and was meant to wish the person you are toasting, good health. Back in the day a piece of toasted bread was dropped in the wine, hence the expression toast. Neato, if you don't know now you know....playas!

What? You're watching the waistline but love to drink? Well, here's a fact for YOU... Distilled spirits such as gin, brandy, tequila (ta-kill-ya) and rum to name a few, contain zero fats, zero cholesterol and zero carbohydrates of any kind. Consider yourself informed! On that note, chin, chin!

To all my bourbon drinkers, try to perfect this cocktail. Everyone likes a good old fashioned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQkdZgBc6LQ&spfreload=1

Not feeling like having anything alcoholic? Next time you're at your local watering hole, order a Roy Rogers. I'm not a pop drinker myself but if you're a sugar addict, a Roy Rogers will definitely curb your sugar craving as it is simply coke with a splash of grenadine. It is served in a collins glass and garnished with a maraschino cherry. I personally like fresh cherries, but a maraschino cherry is fine.
