Meisters, It is with a heavy heart that we must postpone Montréal Sword Meisters 2020. The current situation makes for trying times and it is in the best interest of everyone to make sure that we take care of ourselves and our own first and foremost. Circumstances being what they are, we wholly encourage you to maintain social distancing measures and train at home, resuming your regular training only when public health permits it. Be reassured, though, as we are prepared! T...he tournament will be held November 6th to November 8th, 2020. Please note that this date is not final and we will only be certain of them when life regains a semblance of normalcy. We will set them in stone as soon as we can ! As for your registration, we can hold your payment and your spot for the event or issue a refund. If you have any questions, concerns or doubts, we will gladly adress them. We hope to see each and every one of you in November, and to celebrate the togetherness that makes Montréal Sword Meisters and Historical European Martial Arts what they are. Be safe, be healthy, and be reassured - you will hear from us very soon with more details.

2020 is fast approaching. Will YOU be our next Meister?

Canada is very rich in events and our referee team is honoured to have been invited to participate at the Glengarry Highland Games An Cruinneachadh singlestick tournament! The event is coming fast but it's not too late to register! The Glengarry Highland Games are the largest of the sortoutside of Scotland, and Jay Maas of Broadsword Academy Manitoba will be giving a very interesting workshop on Broadsword and singlestick, along with another seminar on shearing sword and smallsword given by none other than Kévin Cote, instructor at MSM 2019.

The dust has settled after this fantastic second edition of Montréal Sword Meisters and we are already working hard for next year! We have sent an email to every participant containing a link to a form to collect feedback of the event. Please take a minute to fill it out and help us make MSM 2020 the best it can be!

One of many epilogues after MSM-19: One of the best fencers who step into our event felt obliged this weekend to abandon the two competitions in which he had already a place in the playoffs. However, Airrion Scott did not leave our event with empty hands, because the Sportsmanship and technical prize (by the voting of clubs, mentors and judges), was for him. We couldn't give him the prize in hand, since he was already on his way home, but someone took it and enjoyed it for him... until he lost his energy. A great prize by Wiktenauer,, one of our Sponsors.
