We are pleased to announce that hundreds of #refugee claimants in our community began 2021 in a little bit more comfort A total of 320 new toys, 175 new winter jackets, 150 new pairs of socks, 50 hand-made holiday cards, and over $2000 in grocery store gift cards were collected and distributed to hundreds of refugee claimants at the end of December! Thank you to Khalsa Aid Canada, One World United, Aspenwood Elementary School PAC and St Thomas More Collegiate for their support with our ambitious distribution project.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, community organizations throughout the Lower Mainland are dealing with an increased demand for food security, mental health support, and employment resiliency. Coast Capital Savings stepped up to support MOSAIC as part of their Community Relief Fund, and we’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude. This grant provided an essential $3,000 for MOSAIC’s Health Navigator initiative and #MentalHealth counselling for immigrant, refugee, and newcomer communities struggling the most. MOSAIC is excited to announce our new Enhancing Healthy Relationships Project. A unique project focused on improving and building stronger family relationships for immigrant, refugee & visible minority couples who are at risk of experiencing or perpetrating domestic violence. This project hopes to provide intimate partners with the knowledge and skills to significantly reduce the chances of domestic violence in the future by providing communication, stress management and conflict resolution skills through online counselling.
