UPDATE!!! Yes! We now have 3 full days of Outdoor summer camp! ONLINE REGISTRATION OPEN :) Only 20$ for the day! Take all 3 days in a week and get a 10$ rebate! Thursday mornings will be special events opened to all the community and Friday nights will be community events (example: Movie in the park, variety show, etc...). UPDATE: With Covid-19 protocols being relaxed a little, we are able to offer 3 full days (9:30am to 4pm). However, we are not able to offer our regular camp program due to sanitary camp obligations, We felt that applying all government camp protocols would be unrealistic, stressful and to demanding on our camp staff and campers. If government restrictions are lifted, we will then implement a full regular camp program later in the summer. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will not be able to offer regular camp. We are saddened by this but the non-profit YLC will have in place a "Outdoor and virtual" summer activity program! Publicity and parent information will be ready on Monday, June 8th online! Camp will be from Monday, July 13th to Friday, August 7th. There is a possibility of a 2nd week in August. Online registration will begin Thursday, June 11th to Wednesday, June 17th. and/or "in person" registration a...t the YLC will take place Thursday, June 18th from 3pm to 8pm. "A la carte" activities will range from free, 5$ to 15$. Sign up for 3 during the week and get a 4th one free for child(ren) of the same family! They will include; 1. Park/sports activities for different age groups throughout the week! 2. Bike treks for the older kids! 3. Grade 6 "Girls Club" activities and events! 4. Virtual activities for kindergarten to grade 3! 5. Online gaming tournaments for grades 4+5+6 and HS! 6. Ball hockey games! 7. "In house" major outings! 8. Want to work at the YLC's non-profit summer camps in RDP? Amazing leadership summer experience! Must be between 15yrs-25yrs. Applications are online at dbylc.com and the deadline is May 4th. Parents, summer camp and summer activities may seem far away or unrealistic due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we're still planning for a summer camp season regardless of the start date. Of course, we will be respecting government and city regulations. We will have camp publicity ready this Thursday on our Smiley Bunch Kindergarten camp, Happy Days, Teen Spirit, Sports camps (grades 3 to 6) and "Girls only" camp (grades 5 and 6)! Please bring back application after March 30th as the YLC is presently closed due to the coronavirus lockdown. Dek hockey programming will be on again Thursday and Friday nights during the summer! Looking for all different types of staff (sports, arts and crafts, creativity, fun, etc...!) Fun fact: Many of our staff throughout the years have gone to work as teachers, principals, daycare educators, social work, sports, etc...!!!!
