MUN Sailing

FIRST sail of the season!!! We would just like to say a huge thank you to the Skippers of Bella J, for taking the time out of their days to take us out! We learnt so much, and the weather was perfect

Happy October Sailers! I hope everyone has settled into their online learning without to much trouble. A quick update from the club. ... -We were not able to get on the water this year do to COVID, and construction at the Yacht club (spacing to dock). -The club is still running and is open to ANYONE and EVERYONE; students, faculty, undergrads, etc. -Our plans for this university year 2020/2021 is to possibly have some work shops thoughtout the winter, and to do some fundraising events. The logistics are still being planned out, but please feel free to contact us with any questions. -Starting around April-May, we are going to try to start sailing and getting some time on the water. Hope everyone is staying safe and let's all make the best of this term!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is staying well, and not going too stir-crazy. I just wanted to check in and say that the sailing club is still in hold until more restrictions are lifted and we can safely start to get back together. In the mean time if any of our sailed wanted to practise their hand at some virtual sailing on their phone, there is an awesome app (we have highlighted it before) where you can practise sailing. It is free to use and it is available for iPhone and Android. Just thought I would post about it again if some people are looking for something knew to try this week at home

Saw this lovely sign out today. I hope everyone is staying inside and staying healthy. Hopefully by the summer when this has all blown over we will be able to go sailing and enjoy everyone's company once again

We had an awesome time last night! Thank you to everyone who braved the bad weather. We even got to meet some new members! Thank you so much to the St. John's Tool Library for letting us use their space. ... We had such a fun and engaging learning session we will be planning another one soon. So STAY TUNED!
