To say the last 15+ months has been challenging would be an understatement. As the uncertainty of Covid began in early 2020 our team here decided to push forward with NEBs 3.0. It would of been easy to throw in the towel but we have pushed through and we are getting giddy at the idea of seeing people enjoying all NEBs has to offer again. ... We have quite a few 5-Pin bowling historians that follow us on Facebook. 5-Pin is uniquely Canadian and has a rich history dating back to around 1909 when Tommy Ryan invented the sport in Toronto. We have found an old 5-pin bowling newspaper from 1962 that mentions 5-pin greats like Fraser Hambly, Jim Hoult, Matt Kotelco, and others. ... We are starting up our time machine again!! We found an article from 1983 when the England’s at Motor City Bowl opened the spare time lounge! Hands up if you hung out here back in the day ... PS gotta love Tom’s mustache!

It’s all about the details. We are just finishing installing our second water bottle fill station inside NEB’s. Just another way we are trying to raise the bar!

Happy new year everyone here’s our first construction update of 2021!! Our front counter is really starting to take shape. The west side of the counter, visible when you walk in our new front entrance, is fully lit and trimmed out! The bathroom fixtures are in and our custom vanities are in place and getting tiled. So much more room, especially for the change table! ... Santo is hard at the flooring again. We removed all the games in the western part of the games room and we are putting down a fresh coat. We are also working on the new front entrance floor, we are trying a new technique that we think will turn out very sharp. Excited to show everyone more in the coming weeks. Although we were not able to make some new holiday memories this year at NEBs, we have been blessed with countless memories years past. The Ontario government has informed us that effective Monday November 23rd Durham Region will be in the red zone and we will be limited to 10 people inside NEB’s. Youth Bowling is back at NEB's. Starting Sunday October 18th @ 9:00AM. Bantam, Junior, & Senior divisions will begin. Our Pee-wee division will return in the coming weeks once we get a feel for the program. We are limited to only 50 people in the building at once, if we get enough interest in the program we will create a second shift at another time. The last week has seen some pretty big progress on our new front counter! Custom made drawers for redemption New audio system with more control. We can even switch the audio to tv output for certain lanes Our cute live Facebook like counter is back up ... Hopefully in a few more weeks we will have this new counter completed!

The epoxy master is at it again We are working on the flooring around the new playground and Santo has created a beach/sand like finish. As you can see in the last photo we are even putting in starfishes, seashells and more. ... What do you think of the flooring ? #OneStepCloser
