IMPOSSIBABALE!!! Well, that is what Tigger would say if he could see our currently SUPER HOT real estate market here in Newmarket. The weather might be hot and we need rain badly, but houses are selling like hot cakes before they even enter the oven or the pan!!! :-o Who could've thought multiple offers could actually make a come back - in the middle of a pandemic, nonetheless!? Prices are strong,and there seems to be no shortage of buyers out there.... Seriously, if you are thinking about selling a property, THIS is exactly the time to call ME and learn about your options and set yourself up for a winning move! ;)

June 1st. ALREADY!!! People ask me, "Harry, how's the real estate market these days? Prices coming down, right?!" Well, I am still your friendly local realtor, and I remain HONEST at all times, pandemic or not.... So, looking at the FACTS, nearly 160 residential properties have SOLD in Newmarket since April 1st. Right now, prices are pretty strong and multiple offers are common! It seems to be a "Seller's Market" just like it was before the COVID-19 lockdown!!! We have new rules for visiting properties. Health and safety of all clients are extremely important. If you have questions, and want honest answers, please give me a shout. I have not stopped working and it would be my absolute pleasure to provide information - just like I have since 2005 - in my beloved Newmarket.

Cautiously, and quite slowly, we seem to be edging towards a "normal" life again. It will definitely be a "New Normal" but still better than what we've been through since late March. Well, HOPEFULLY better anyway! When it comes to real estate, so many rules have come into effect, then revised, and then refined or changed in the past 2 months. Between all the various governing bodies within the industry, and the individual brokerages themselves, many new ideas and technologies... have become realities for the business. Properties have been listed, bought and sold in the past 2 months, and there are many engines revving in anticipation of jumping into the market as soon as possible. I have never stopped working, providing information and even doing a few showings of commercial and residential properties in the meantime. I look forward to having a busy summer and helping as many good people as possible! :)

The Weirdness Continues!!! I get a lot of questions from a lot of people about the real estate market, and which predictions might come true post lockdown. As usual, I can only be honest with my answers and tell people about all the possibilities, plus the fact that nobody knows for sure about what lies ahead! With all the factors in play, and because we are learning new things everyday, who knows what is going to happen in Canada, Ontario, or our own heaven in Newmarket ...area?! The leaders of the world, and medical professionals are finding themselves in new situations every day, so when life and death are topics of the moment, real estate becomes fairly unimportant. This Pandemic Situation That We Are Dealing With These Days Is A Real Bummer... Still, more than 100 properties have sold in Newmarket since mid March! It is true that some people simply HAVE TO buy, or sell, or move. Everyone have their own reasons. My personal philosophy is >>> SAFETY FIRST. In fact I took two listings off the market in March and stopped visitors from going to my clients' properties. Thankfully, my sellers did not have an urgent situation and we will market their properties after life goes back to being normal. I wish everyone good health and long life.
