"Help Wanted" by Ray Spiteri some glaring obstacles present themselves, One being the bureaucracy at the top of all 3 separate boards. The many conflicts of interest. The lack of vision, creativity and execution of planning those that have been calling the shots for the last few years have failed miserably and should all be fired. The old ways just don't work anymore and the sooner the people in charge realize this the sooner Niagara Falls may once again become a destination ...of choice. In todays society everything is hashtagged and it reaches millions of people instantly, long gone are the days of word of mouth. So many other things need to change for Niagara Falls to recover, People are tired of being gouged!! taken advantage of!! and being mislead!! Niagara Falls has become the capital of "FALSE ADVERISING". First and foremost whomever is selected to head up anything TOURISM related in Niagara Falls must be given enough power to make a decision on his or her own, Given all the meetings and red tape created by those currently in charge ( The family members that own all the hotels ) it proves difficult to decide if its a blue sky on a sunny day with all those Ego's. My humble advice would be start telling the truth... Niagara Falls is what it is. Next would be the BANISHMENT of the so called 10% Tourism Improvement Fee. Ray Spiteri should do some investigative reporting and examine/audit where this nonsense fee really goes. HINT: it goes into the pockets of whomever collects it. If today's status quo is any indication of things to come Niagara Falls will continue to be a JULY, AUGUST destination. I literally just walked outside and asked the first person I saw on YONGE St in Toronto what they thot of Niagara Falls.
