We spent the day yesterday at the Victoria Inn with our friends from Neskantaga First Nation by hosting 2 Bingos for the evacuees. We all had such great fun! So many amazing prizes were won! The children (and adults) were wowed by Miracles Await magician Tyler, and we capped off the night with a performance by Nish Elvis! Enjoy the photos! We are currently hiring! Please share! FORT HOPE FIRST NATION - Full Time Ramp and De-icing Responsibilities & Duties - Ensure excellent customer service when handling customer luggage & freight - Accurately produces all freight loads for company aircraft according to the prescribed aircraft weight and balance prior to scheduled departure times... - Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing freight - Cargo acceptance and inventory control - Follow company policies and procedures when accepting dangerous goods - Perform and uphold North Star Air's Customer Service Standards to both internal and external customers - Any other related duties as assigned by agent and pilot - Shall perform actual de-icing tasks when requested by the pilot in command or operations - Complete all required checklist and relevant paperwork - Shall maintain all equipment in their control in a neat and tidy condition - Shall perform all de-icing related activities in accordance with the policies and procedures identified in the manual. Skills & qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent is an asset - Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset - Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck - Knowledge of filling out waybills is an asset - Able to communicate both verbally and in writing - Basic mathematical skills - Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently - Attention to detail in all areas of work - Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills - Able to communicate in English is an asset - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repetitively. Working Conditions - Overtime as required - Weekend work may be required - Standard hazards associated with trade. Licence - DZ - Driver's license G Training will be provided for de-icing, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and Globally Harmonized System.
