Tough as Doug? Doug the dog went on an adventure one day without his owner.... He ran off into the forest, Not knowing how long his adventure would last. Neither did anyone else... And neither will you for this event! Huh?? If you were to take a dog for a run (or walk), they have no idea how long they’re going for, but they’re keen for whatever distance, whether it’s just around the block, or a multi-day jaunt. Dogs like Doug are resilient, stubborn, and tough as hell. Are you as tough as Doug? We know you’re not (frig, none of us are), but maybe you’ll get a shot at being tested. Only 40 spots available (keeping the numbers lower than the covid recommendations to be safe). How to "apply" and other event info will be posted in the next few days. We're shooting for a start date on a Saturday in April, but we have to check some schedules first. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory when inside the building, in the start corral and anytime you are at the start finish/lap area (basically whenever people outside your bubble are close by). Bring your own aid station supplies (food and drink) and a fun attitude for this one! As far as we know, this format has only been done in the UK (Google "Piece of String Fun Run" to get the jist) A portion of the registration fee will be donated to the Animal Rescue Coalitions! More info coming soon! (Obviously this will only be open to NS residents -- sorry).

Capes 100 2021 (hopefully) Waitlist and Start lists for y'all! As of right now we have 241 on the start list, so we only rolled down another 9 spots. Those 9 have been emailed, so this waitlist is how it stands now.

Round the Lake apologies... I (Jodi) am super sorry if I upset you with any aspect my Saturday night FB post. I jumped the gun and shouldn't have posted it without thinking it through...and without trying to see how it could've been taken by others. My intent wasn't to hurt anyone. Ever. Even though it was a smaller crowd, the results were impressive at 'round the lake'...and Iifetime achievements were had for sure. We truly are proud of all y'all for showing us how it's don...e! Please take care of yourselves, look at things from both sides, and be kind to one another (you never know what kinda stuff people are dealing with at any given moment). Hopefully we'll see you on the trails at some point! PS- we won't be checking/replying anytime soon since we are dealing with urgent family matters. Sorry in advance.

"round the lake" CONGRATS!! We're super impressed with everyone's runs so far! Crazy that so many have done over 100k...and even more crazy that some folks that did 80-100k had only done a marathon as their longest run ever before this!! Way to friggin' go!! More to come!!... Jodi

To reiterate the intent of this event, it’s to run as far as you can in the hours that you have. ... Only 1 upload to Strava will count, so that means you can’t do multiple runs. If you plan to sleep for a few hours, please pause your watch. Distance still adds up when you’re not moving and we want that kept to a minimum please and thanks. Lastly, please be patient with the upload process. We are intentionally not allowing everyone to upload as soon as they’re finished, so this means that the results on the map may take a few days to show up.
