Nutrition Consciousness 27.06.2021

I watch my mind catch every hook that says things are not as they should be. Telling me that my body, my garden, my work, how I spend my time, where I stand today in this time-space place is not quite right. What a dreadfully exhausting run-around! This year I thought I would be a gardening queen. Why wouldn’t I? I love using herbs and harvesting fresh vegetables from my garden. But what I don’t love, sometimes, is doing the work it takes to have the things I want. That’s... the honest truth. And it’s taken me some time to come to terms with it. But it’s part of who I am. And who am I to cut myself down for it? Why do I care so much? . This year I planted sunflowers (which for the first time in my gardening experience, are about to bloom), borage (a hearty beauty), calendula (pictured), kale and 2 other containers with things that I forget what they are (I will know more in a few weeks). The constant comparison of myself against who I think I have been, who I think I am, and who I am in contrast to who and what I think everyone else is, is a practice I’ve unconsciously ritualized and now consciously work my balls off to try and dismantle. I sometimes feel like I’m getting nowhere with it, but I also know that nothing worth doing was ever easy, and that no flower blooms from a seed overnight. . I am grateful to be here and to have already learned so much. To observe all of my past creations, conscious and unconscious. To watch myself make the same mistakes only to realize that to understand with the mind what the heart knows, is not to fully understand what the heart knows. The mind cannot understand what the heart knows because what the heart knows is beyond the conceptual, rational, logical, and sensible sensors of the body-mind. The reintegration of heart and mind, I am told comes at a great egoic expense, worth more than any of the ten thousand things of the material world. . So I’m just gonna sit here and enjoy my small garden of flowers and some other things I am not sure yet what they are, because this is actually what I came here for . . . . #whatdidyoucomeherefor #divinecreator #mindgardener #calendulablooms #youareexactlywhereyouneedtobe See more

This book explains A LOT. The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin. I was introduced to her via Tony Robbins podcast and was too curious not to take the quiz and explore more about these 4 common human responses to expectations. Am I an Upholder, Questioner, Obliger, or Rebel? Answering was too easy. But now I have all of these tools, tips and tricks that I can utilize to help me work WITH my tendency, rather than implement structures that cause resistance from my tendency. Kn...owing my #strengthsandweaknesses #weaknessesandstrengths allows me the space to work with what is natural to me, rather than resist and try to change who I am! What a revolutionary idea... to be your authentic self AND NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT OR TRY TO CHANGE IT CAUSE IT’S JUST WHO YOU ARE! I’m loving this journey of learning more about ME. Maybe I will post again in 3 months. Or maybe tomorrow. Or maybe never. Whatever you expect from me, you shouldn’t . . . . #mesearch #gretchenrubin #thefourtendencies #whoami #fourtendenciesrebel #idowhatiwant#yourenotthebossofme #youcantmakemeandneithercani #itssohardwhenihavetoandsoeasywheniwantto #becauseifeellikeit #freedomismydiscipline #resistsallexpectations #expectlessgetmore #rebeltendency #f***ed See more

The end carries the energy of the means. The means becomes the end. The end and the means are one. To focus away from the now and only on the external, future goal is to do yourself the disservice of rejecting every moment that leads up to fulfillment of that goal, creating a future that returns you with only what you provided in terms of your presence, along the way. . . . #eckharttolle #anewearth #goodwords #intentioniseverything #washyourbrainlikeyouwashyourhair #everyday #unlessyouonlywashyourhaironceaweek #justdoiteverydayokay
