Say hello to our newest addition to the outreach team! Bernardo is an Emperor Scorpion! One of the largest species in the world, they average 7-8 inches in length! Thanks to @chaoticxotics for hooking me up with captive bred animal and everything I needed for him! As always, make sure to source any pets from responsible sources. Some great footage of BC's, Northern Pacific Rattlesnake! These are British Columbia's only venomous species of snake but as you can see, they are docile when undisturbed and want only to be left alone! Pregnant females will hang out at rookery's while the young develops inside of her. These areas are typically on rocky, South-facing slopes, close to their hibernation site. Neonate Rattlesnake are born in September - October and will often go into hibernation before even having their first meal!

Gecko feet are one of the most incredible reptile adaptations out there! This amazing photo shows you the rows of tiny little hairs which help them stick to just about anything!

This is an excellent video explaining the Palm Oil crisis that is currently taking place. (Most of us support this daily without knowing it)
