Excellent resource for BC families with infants
For the love of uteruses
There is so much happening in this video. But I guess that’s the point: SO MUCH happens in the life story of a person with a uterus.

An article of interest for those interested in nutrition and disease. https://blog.designsforhealth.com/node/1246
I am looking through some old blogs today, and I found this one. It feels especially true as we all look toward "re-opening", being on-the-go again, increasing our activity. I don't know about you, but I don't want to return to the old ways. I hear an awful lot of people, both friends, colleagues and patients, saying they don't want to go back. You? How are you feeling? https://originsofhealthnaturalmedicine.com/on-being-not-do/
I feel this push and pull inside of me and let go of the striving on a daily basis. How do you relate to this? And how does this relate to your health?
The Long Haul of COVID. Have you heard about "Post-Covid Syndrome"? Do you know that it affects more women than men? This is an interesting read. It also discusses Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is often associated with earlier viral infection, often the Epstein-Barr Virus (the one that causes Mononucleosis). Post-Viral syndromes are not new, but certainly the way in which Covid's lingering effects present is a new version of post-viral syndrome. As we learn more about this, I hope it opens the door to a more accepted understanding of those suffering from Chronic Fatigue, an oft misunderstood and written-off experience, again, more often affecting women over men. https://www.theatlantic.com//long-haulers-covid-1/615382/

This is an interesting opportunity if you live in British Columbia. It doesn't take long to fill out, and your input can help determine how we move forward with COVID monitoring and prevention in our province. It is really worth it, in my opinion! http://www.bccdc.ca//diseases-co/covid-19/covid-19-survey
New website, y'all! Please check it out <3 https://originsofhealthnaturalmedicine.com/
What's happening with COVID-19 in our 'hood? Documented cases on Vancouver Island, since Jan 1, 2020: Total cases: 94 Median age: 56 yo... Deaths: 3 (note: Vancouver Island population is roughly 870,300) 1,575 total cases documented in all of BC (Total BC population is 5 Million) This week we have the lowest number of reported cases since March 1. Given what you have seen and experienced in your life and immediate circles, how do you think we are doing here in Victoria? source: http://www.bccdc.ca//BC_Surveillance_Summary_April_16_FINA

If you live in Canada: This is SO important! Please take a few seconds to sign this. Many of my friends and colleagues in Integrative Health are self employed and will be underemployed during this time as we deal with physical distancing considerations. Many of us are moving to telemedicine to continue supporting patients, but for many of us our earnings are essentially only going to cover business overhead, rather than generate a personal income. In order to remain viable a...s businesses, we will need help. That said, right now if we serve ANY patients in ANY way and the business earns ANY money at all, we will not be eligible. Most of us do not want to close our doors as we realize our patients still need support, and we value those ongoing relationships. Just a signature to move this petition along- please sign! http://chng.it/FfvVYBQp5L
Maybe it is time for a culture shift for us here in the west? https://getzwell.com/03-29-2020-update-vol-3-flattening-th/
Fantastic article. I highly recommend reading this, even though it’s long. You won’t regret it. https://charleseisenstein.org/essays/the-coronation/
ND's listed as an "essential" service. Progress, my friends. Progress in being seen for who we are, how we are trained, and what we have to offer our communities. <3
This is good information to make note of. I can vouch for this story, as I have personal connections to Craig, the patient in the article. https://www.vice.com//939vmy/diarrhea-fever-coronavirus-co
